A vocals and music professor in China has said in all of China's vast population.....he has yet to meet a single person there (and he meets a crazy good number of excellent vocalists) that possesses Dimash's vocal skills, power and techniques.

@@GivenToe Bass, baritone, tenor, counter tenor, alto PLUS all sopranos....Dimash is in command of all.....he is EQUALLY excellent in all.....and that's one of the reasons (one of many reasons) that makes him greatest vocalist of all time. You would need to combine at least 3-4 highly skilled vocalists with different vocal ranges to sing CLOSEST TO Dimash. And Dimash is not merely about wide vocal ranges. That is only ONE aspect of Dimash's vocals skills.

I first heard SOS about 30 years back and loved it, but after hearing so many French singers do this song, and about 5+ years ago , I by chance heard DIMASH do this song and i was just as amazed you were hearing this for the first time. I have been a fan forever from that time forward as I felt I had heard the best finally do this song. i have listened to DIMASH everyday from that time forward and still get emotional each time I hear him sing; can't explain it just accept it. He is considered to be the best vocalist in the world and a master performer. He sings in many languages and plays many instruments. He is an exceptional singer and excels in martial arts and swimming. His mother is a world-class opera singer, and his father is also a well-known crooner in Asia. He was raised by his grandparents, which is customary in his home country of Kazakhstan. He appears in front of crowds of hundreds of thousands of people and is known to give the proceeds to charity. This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Undoubtedly this song found in Dimash the best singer to make it flourish. “SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamadon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.

He has delved into various techniques in several countries including Russia (where it is traditional for men to develop their falsetto) and China, as well as his native Kazakhstan.
