Don't worry about making mistakes, you get much more correct than some other reactors! 🤣 Dimash didn't know his dad was in the audience, he was very homesick at that point so his dad flew over to support him and they hid him in the audience until Dimash had finished singing. There is a slightly longer version that shows Dimash seeing him stood at the side of the stage and their reunion is so touching to watch.

This performance was gorgeous. It's always funny to see the audience. Thank you for your reaction👍. This was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017. The song is in Russian. A language he speaks fluently. Your right. Dimash’s father came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. I love this video because he still seems so innocent. Just a boy and he doesn't seem as serious as he does now and then. He still looks unconcerned. I think what's happening today is giving him a lot of trouble. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 19 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. Indescribably beautiful and emotional. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding😱. There he is such a Beast😳! Dimash admits to being a bit cheeky and flexing with this songe. Also, his father had flown in to surprise him. This show was the first time that Dimash had been away from home for any length of time and he was ina country where he did not know anyone and very little of the language. He was quite homesick and the producers saw this and contacted hsi family. Dimash said that if he had known that his father was in the audience he would have toned it down a bit. Never the less, he blew it out of orbit. Also, since this , he has never traveled without at least one member of this extended family in the entourage. Family is of supreme importance to him.

I saw him in London in 2018 it was amazing live the performance was incredible. I heard he sang girl and boy parts to increase his range also that he would swim underwater holding his breath so he could hold notes longer . Dimash has degree in both classical and contemporary music, a masters in composition. He's very versatile and usually mix diff. styles in one song. He was the dark horse in this competition at 22, Its a 14 round contest and came in 2nd overall. The winner is supposed to be Chinese, they thought Dimash will be eliminated and was only there as an experiment to bring foreign singers outside China, Dimash stayed in the whole competition and become superstar in China and gaining worldwide. There are just so many wonderful performances of Dimash to see it's hard to choose any to recommend. However, since you mentioned two things in this video, one being that you think you have heard most of his range (nope), and the other that you heard he raps, I'd love to offer two recommendations. One is Be With Me (in English except for the rap which is in Kazakh). It has a fabulous, fun MV which I think you'll love, with a martial arts fight scene. It shows a completely different side to Dimash. Dimash outdid Vitas so much that his people told Him he couldn't ever sing it again. Vitas only went higher 1 time Dimash 3. Vitas lip synched Dimash didn't. Vitas didn't use staccato like Dimash. This was the only sour note in his career - introduced by the original artist; Vitas, who was more than a little annoyed. It was not Dimash's error, allegedly the Producers of the Singer show hadn't obtained the copyright permissions before this performance went to air. So an apology was made (and perhaps some legal settlement} and Dimash has never sung this song since. Nor does he have it on his site. However Vitas' 'upset' went beyond copyright. He made a real 'dummy spit' and vowed he would NEVER give Dimash permission to sing ANY of his songs, EVER! Which tends to lead one to suspect some 'professional jealousy' at play. It is true that Dimash took the song two levels higher than the original and is no surprise that his tone is far more solid and full in the highest registers, than was Vitas'. This is due primarily to his having the benefit of extensive classical / operatic training which Vitas did not have. Also, a former vocal coach of Dimash has stated it was found his vocal chords are abnormally long for a male. Dimash has said that he was often required during childhood and throughout puberty to sing female parts as well as male. Vocal coaches have suggested this probably had something to do with his retention of his higher registers. Certainly that would lead to vocal chord strength and flexibility, but most agree this would not affect length. Or maybe it's simply because he's a 'beanpole'! He is 6'3" after all! 🤣 Vitas, now 44, is a very well established artist and well known across Europe and Asia, including in China. He too, at a very early age, around 5 -6, was found to be very talented and began playing music and writing songs, and was described by many as a child prodigy. Much of his work is cutting edge creative and unique and very popular. There are debates about his vocal range, which is said to be at least 5 octaves, some say 7. Regardless, he is hugely talented also. My view is that it is a shame he reacted in this ungenerous way, when it would have been amazing to see Vitas and Dimash create something unique and perform together!

I'm glad you've read mine and possibly other people's remarks regarding I'm Singer. It's very commendable for you to admit your mistakes. It'll raise your stocks. Vitas is not a Russian singer, he's Latvian born, which today, after all the former Soviet republics became countries, is important to know and distinguish. This is, sadly, the only version you will ever hear: Vitas' lawyers filed a lawsuit, and Dimash is forbidden to sing Opera-2 ever again. Vitas raised the ceiling twice, Dimash did it four times. It practically diminished Vitas' performance. Going forward, if you haven't done that yet, learn more about Dimash, his background, his country Kazakhstan, which is one of the oldest on earth and, in my humble opinion, one of the smartest. I just discovered you and I have subscribed to your channel. I can see that there have been fewer and fewer comments week by week, but I really hope you continue with Dimash anyway. So far is Stranger, The Story of One Sky, El Amore En Ti and Ave Maria, his best performances, but I hope you will continue with some other stuff before you get there. Thanks for your reactions ! For the Dimash presentations from I Am Singer 2017 - Gloria Wu translated most of them and you should be able to find her/them on KZbin. Basically, this song is about an old lonely, rural house, when the wind blows it produces these sounds through the house. Dimash is singing in Russian and I think this is an old Russian folk song but he doesn't perform it any longer because of a copyright that VITAS holds. Don't know if VITAS wrote the song or composed this rendition...my 2 cents.

However, they forgot to ask Vitas. The people who hold the rights sued Chinese TV... unfortunately too late. The Chinese had already put it online and so it is on the Internet forever. 7"7 octave range is more correct.. I saw Vitas performance in China yesterday, and he have a thin voice compared to Dimashes powerfully voice. And Dimash goes three tones higher than Vitas. It wasn`t even funny to see Vita singing and try to dance like a robot. Well, thats my opinion. Best regards from Norway.
