Most "Dears" (fans) refuse to watch any of Dimash's performances on this show "The Worlds Best." Firstly all of his performances were edited down in other words shortened. Also one very important song was not transmitted. Dimash was told by the producers of the show that he would not have to compete against children. When he got to the semi final he found they had lied to him, he was up against 2 children. Dimash regards children as being very special so he withdrew from the show in doing so forfeiting the one million dollar first prize. Dimash's principles mean more to him than money. Please check out his version of this song on the 2017 Chinese show "I Am A Singer" you'll see for yourself there's a huge difference.

I’m so glad this was addressed. And if not mistaken a young girl did win the prize money. Angie, I do hope you listen to the Singer version. Everything on The Singer will always have a special place in my heart as that is where I first listened to Dimash. There is something very special about those performances.

Димаш в интервью рассказывал, что перед конкурсом он задал им этот вопрос, не придётся ли ему соревноваться с детьми? Его уверили, что нет, и только поэтому он согласился.)) но потом всё пошло не плану и его поставили перед фактом)), наверно думая, что Димаш безпринципный, ему некуда будет деваться и он не сможет отказаться)) Но они плохо знают нашего Димаша и он достойно вышел из этой ситуации, тем самым показав, кто есть кто.Молодец, я очень горжусь этим его поступком.

Eнджи не могла знать этот факт, потому, что Димаш для неё новость, но если сам Димаш вставил фрагмент этого шоу в своём видео ОМIR, то не всё так страшно, это тоже часть его опыта, хоть и не каждый способен отказаться от миллиона! This song has two compousers - russian Sergey Rachmaninov and Eric Carmen. The melody of refrain ( All by myself...) is the part of Rachmaninov's Second Piano Consert (1900-1901yrs). Eric wrote this song in 1975.

That show lasted one season after the way the ended up treating Dimash. Dimash has fans all over the world. Ru Paul ended up being extremely rude to Dimash and I am sure you read the other comments about what happened. There is a series of videos called the Ultimate Guide to Dimash. There are 12 in all that show various interviews, and different aspects of who Dimash is. I hope you will consider doing them from 1 to 12 so you will learn who he is as a person. He is such a sweetheart. He has sung happy birthday to fans at concerts, taken selfies for them while singing, and on and on. There is no end to how gracious he is.

Dimash did great at this competition. It was one of his best performances of this song. They acted really nice to him at first, and it was really important to him to do well in the USA. Too bad this particular company was dishonest. Dimash could not continue when he learned he was competing against children. In his culture they just Don't do that. He did give his all. When you watch/listen to the MV Omir, that is the part of the song where his voice becomes all rough and it sounde extreemly sad. I think it hurt him badly. It was a huge injustice. I do think those people from the show are holding a grudge. The show got shut down. Dimash almost cries in the song that he doesn't want to make mistakes and have to beg for forgiveness. I really think they hurt him. That being said, he sang his heart out on this performance. It was Gorgeous!

As mentioned he did leave this show when they lied and disrepected him. He could not have given more. It appears they do not know much about presentation. You wont see this show bc it went off the air. There is a small section of it in Omir, the part where he screams!!!! Wonder why ? Also this Is NOT a Dion song she did not write it. Eric Carmen did. I will watch this video, Angie, for the sake of your ratings and because I know you're new to the Dimash scene. As I'm sure others have already mentioned, though, this venue treated Dimash rather badly, and I hope you, like most of us, will #AvoidWorldsBest in the future. Isn’t it such a wonder that even though The World’s Best butchered his performance, Dimash still manages to impress us. TWB cut off the beginning completely. The reason Dimash was wearing this glorious Kazakh outfit was because he had had a Kazakh tradition ensemble flown in, his mother had hand carried his dombra for this. So he started off with a Kazakh intro before segueing into All By Myself. The song itself again was cut short, then they completely took out what was an amazing innovation: Dimash’s insertion of a classical style cadenza toward the end. A much better version is the one from Singer 2017 where he sang All By Myself for the first time. By the way, by the time he reached the semifinals, he withdrew from the competition, because he found out he was competing against two children, although when he’d asked before signing the contract, and they’d assured him there were no children in the competition. Upon his announcement, Ru Paul was disgracefully rude to him, despite Dimash’s very respectful attitude. That’s why we Dears do not recommend watching TWB. Anyway, after Dimash gave up the million-dollar prize which he would have won hands down, the show tanked and never had a Season 2. While it was running, many of us Dears learned how to use Twitter and hashtags, in order to vote for the most popular act each week. Dimash would win always. Thank you for your reaction! I watched. I'm a Dear, as Dimash has named me. Dimash poured his heart out. It was magnificent. Dimash did nothing wrong. I don't think this performance should be wasted, even though the bad people from that show cut it short. I don't go out of my way to watch it, but I also won't avoid it when good people do a reaction to it. It isn't their fault, and Dimash sang as beautiful as he does. ❤❤❤

I actually think the performance is worth watching and is actually a "must see" for any true Dear---although it would be preferable that it be watched after other performance of the same song and with knowledge of how the show treated him. Dimash does not deserve to be boycotted for any reason. Every Dimash performance is viewing time valuably spent.

Thank you for reacting to Dimash and to his videos. Unfortunately, you unknowingly didn't make a good choice with this video. As a rule, most Dears boycott these performances by The Worlds Best. That's why I don't look at this reaction. I'm so sorry. It's not your fault and I'm sure you did well. Dimash was lied to and scammed before this show to sign for it. In his culture, children are encouraged and not competed. When Dimash asked if he would have to compete against kids on this show, he was assured that he didn't have to. Otherwise he would never have signed. When he happened to bump into the then 12-year-old Daneliya Tuleshova backstage at his last performance (the artists were strictly separate), he learned that he had to compete not only with her, but also with a 7-year-old boy. He then performed and immediately asked the jury for his resignation. The jury's reaction was beyond offensive and inappropriate. I'm sending you two links so you can get an idea of how unworthy the jury behaved if you want. I also saw a video where the two presenters made it look like Dimash had resigned because he was afraid of losing to the kids. The first link shows the appearance and retirement in the finale and the second link is from two eyewitnesses who were present at that show and can testify that Dimash was screwed. I love Dimash for his integrity that his principles go over $1 million. I still get angry when I write about it Not only did they shorten and mutilate his songs until it hurts, no. He also performed a song in Kazakh, hence his traditional robe. They eliminated that entirely. We all know how proud he is of his Kazakh homeland and loves to show it to the world and it really hurts. This is definitely not a cover to watch. Here he was too worried (it was his first time performing in the USA), and the format of the show obliged him to trim the song to a minimum. You need to watch this particular cover of this song: The Singer 2017 Dimash All by Myself.

As some already mentioned, the performance of world’s best is a butchered version, and not pleasant at all. Any other version is a treat. My favorite is the performance at his New York concert which I highly recommend. After the show „World’s Best“ ended with this kind of scandal no second season was produced. No surprise you aren’t familiar with this show. We Dears in general boycott every thing published from this show.

Hi Debbie. It wasn't cut "in revenge for him leaving," I watched that series as it unfolded live and it had been cut right from the beginning, well before he had decided to leave. Unforgivable in any case.

I loved your reaction for SOS and Adagio but PLEASE make better choices. This show's premise was silly, RuDE-Paul is arrogant and talentless, and the editing of Dimash's songs by this stupid show was atrocious! 👎
