Gosh it's been a long time, it's good to see you back. He's done quite a few things that you've missed especially his Magnum Opus, The Story of One Sky. He recently started the Stranger concert tour, kicking off in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The concert sold out to almost 35,000 people who came from 68 countries around the the world. Using the latest technology including holograms and 70ft high screens it turned into an almost 4 hour party! He's dropped the whole concert onto his KZbin channel split into 3 parts but also put two songs separately, Durduraz and a new song in Spanish called El Amor En Ti.

I think this is the concert where his mother, the lady they showed in the audience, walked up to the stage to wipe his brow. It was such a loving and touching scene. Now, you need to hear him sing this same song with the lyrics added. Of course it is a song composed by Igor Krutoy. Please, please, please, watch Dimash sing "Ikanaide." He performed it for the Tokyo Jazz Festival, in perfect Japanese.

I recommend The Story of One Sky short film before viewing his latest concert in Almaty Kazakhstan. Dimash took 3 years to compose the music, wrote the screenplay, acted as the protagonist, worked with a crew of 300 people, 100 orchestra and choir and spent 7 million dollars on this film (edited to add: apparently there is controversyabouthow much was spenton the short film. I personallyfound a Kazakh news article that printed this figure but it is the only article that stated a figure and had no references on where it came from). He premiered the live version of the song in the Almaty concert in the 3rd hour of an almost 4 hr concert. The entire concert was spectacular and premiered three new songs. After the high energy marathon, he appeared to have lost at least 10 lbs by the next night at the select fan meeting. Vocal athlete indeed!

@@lolawants2008 👍yep read it in a Kazakhstan newspaper article. That's where the 7 million came from. But really 400 people, on location shoots, etc. Costs a pretty penny. This is a very expensive production in an industry that spends millions for a 60 second commercial. This film is a multimillion dollar production and very well done.

There's definitely been recent stuff from Dimash that you might not have seen. Did you watch Be With Me the official MV yet? Really good, great vibe, very cheeky. Since then he did Okay (an intriguing MV), Khalyn ('mood video', interesting lyrics), El Amor En Ti (superb lyrics, live from the 2022 concert in Almaty) and the absolutely epic 13 minute mini-film of The Story of One Sky that was 3 years in the making. Personally I'd advise you to do the other ones first and leave The Story of One Sky until the very last. You have plenty to keep you busy now! The only words in this piece are the growl at the beginning and end. "Ascolta la voce" Listen to the voice, a perfect title for this one, I think. I recommend highly Dimash's new official music video (it's really more like a mini movie) "The Story of One Sky" Dimash wrote the music and the story line, sings the soundtrack and acts in it--it is spectacular....and heart wrenching. He puts his heart and soul into it; the message is heart-felt. This is one that requires repeat listening to get its whole message. (He also performed it in his latest concert--but I like the video because of the extra context it adds to the piece)

In one of the interviews he said: "We named the concert program - Arnau, because I dedicate my love to the vieweers the this concert" (interview with Dimash after press conference in Moscow, 18th February 2020). Dimash names his concerts. Arnau was the concert tour when he came to New York. His last concert is called “Stranger” and started the tour in the city of Almaty, Kz. Next concerts are in Armenia (4/29)Turkey 5/06and Malasya in June. Take care. ❤️🙏🕊

p.s. there is a 50 second clip just recently posted on KZbin....someone shot a fancam during the daytime rehearsal for Dimash's Almaty Stadium concert a few months ago....and Dimash was using his voice to sound like the folk Kobyz instrument....WOW!!
