Like in many other arrangements, Dimash melds sacred music traditions of different cultures and ages into something uniquely his own. In this piece, for example, you hear Turkic throat singing - the ancient song of the steppes - creating the foundation while Dimash’s melismas soar high above it. The music of ancient cultures often used chants, overtone singing, and melismatic techniques to induce a hypnotic trance in the listener. Dimash is not only aware of the power of music to alter one’s state of consciousness, he wields this power masterfully but always with great respect. His friend since his teenage years, Erlan Bekchurin, is a brilliant arranger and is also steeped in Kazakh folklore. Together they create magic. When listening to Dimash, one cannot help but glimpse something greater than our limited understanding, a spiritual reality that defies explanation and analysis.

Wow, Maestro Gianni, you just hit the nail on the head with Dimash when you say, "His soul and artistic roots enter the song and transform and bring a metaphysical dimension." Believe me you have described Dimash. Well you say the version of Dimash not the cover. Maestro Gianni this boy is another level never seen before, without fear of being wrong we are seeing before our eyes the pure scene of music embodied in this Kazakh phenomenon to the delight of humanity. Another important point Dimash is involved in all his arrangements and musical changes. Transforming the songs comes from his own criteria and way of understanding music. I am a 61 year old fan of Dimash, but I have also become a fan of his, because of his source of wisdom and understanding of/music wonderfully. Greetings from Panama.

The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-5 holes, which is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was particularly popular with shepherds, although difficult to play, and was also used by storytellers. These storytellers, called Akyn in Kyrgyzstan, are a central element of Central Asian culture. They went across the country and told stories and legends in chants and with music, for example with a Sybyzgy.

Hi there, You know the great Lynol Richie heard Dimashs version of his songs & he absolutely loved it, he thought Dimash was Brilliant. You are right in saying this about Dimashs music, his songs, there is a metaphorical or metaphysical sound a transcending sound of old, new, but Dimash makes a cover become his own song, his own music, always having the greatest respect for the original artists, including band members not just the singer, but he will make sure to keep the song in it's original format so the audience knows the song... yet Dimash has no fear to take his gift challenging himself, there is no one that has the vocal range that Dimash has,it's not right to even presume that he has 8 octaves because there's no limitations to Dimashs voice, he's far above the highest and last key of the piano & keyboard, his lowest range is far below the first low key of piano &keyboard, Sometimes Dimashs sound cannot be heard with the human ears But Dimash doesn't like to talk about his range or technique because he wants people to hear the music to understand what the song means, he will never sing any song if it's lyrics don't connect to his heart & the emotion he holds within his soul. This is why Dimash gives to his fans everything he has, everything he feels are in every word,every sound of each instrument, he is also... the only human being that can replicate the sound of any instrument of his choosing, if you close your eyes one wouldn't know for example the clarinet if it is Dimash or the actual clarinet until you open your eyes & see Dimash making the notes, he does the same with the piano & keyboard, the empty spaces that are in between each key... Dimash has created notes and sounds for the spaces that aren't even meant to have sound. Dimash was born to sing, God gifted Dimash, I know when God has someone who is special to the human race,only God would have known man once again hasn't learned the lessons of the past, Dimash is deeply loved all around the world by millions & millions of people, he crosses all borders, race,culture, status,religion, age, ethnicity, whatever man seems to want to continue fighting about it doesn't work anymore once you've listened to Dimash, if you've been blessed to see him perform live, Dimash really loves all people especially the children of the world. I am a Roman Catholic missionary nun, this year makes fourty one years, I have seen the best & the worst of the human race, I believe that Dimash is an old soul, he's lived more than a few lifetimes. I believe God has allowed this beautiful young man to hold on to the knowledge he gained during other lifetimes, this is why he is far beyond his almost twenty eight years of this life, I believe that Dimash could sing in each life bringing his voice to levels that no human being has ever been able or capable of doing because it was God who has gifted Dimash with a voice given to only Seraphims If you really watch Dimash.... he is one with God nature and the Universe, he absorbs the energy from his surroundings and pulling it into himself from the Universe, you can see this when he tilts his head back with his face towards heaven & he always opens his arms with one or both hands pulling the energy into himself, When I see this.... I know what he's doing but what is most beautiful....... Dimash expels this energy that he has absorbed right back out into the people around him whether his audience, whoever is near Dimash or sharing space this is the composition of every human soul, some people just happen to understand what's really happening while others will cry and feel emotions they didn't know they had... this is the power that this extraordinary young man has, I know of no other artist who can silence stadiums of thousands of people no matter where he is playing around the world, as soon as he begins to sing ...you can't hear a peep from the audience, I have never experienced any thing like this in all of my life having lived & served in more than eighty five countries , I only experienced this in 2019 when I went to see Dimash perform in New York, it was one week before the world would learn about the pandemic. I am sorry this is so long, but there are so many things about Dimash that are special, many people miss the Universal connection & that's not really surprising because if most people understood, grasped the connection then our world & its people would not be in the state it is in once again. I am always pleased when people like yourself understand the deeper reasons & purpose, Dimash has always known he has a bigger purpose, he truly understands that his gift was given to unite the worlds people as the family we are, it breaks my heart that people have so much hatred within themselves and if you should ask someone who looks a little bit different....why do you hate me so much, they can't answer that question, because you really can't hate people you don't know. What I know is all the gifts God has given me, I too love people and the children of the world, they are the future, if we can't get it together....I worry there won't be a planet left for them... I will always do and give everthing I have & all that I am to the people of this world. When I saw Dimash in New York, I went alone, I met people who flew in to see Dimash from Pakistan,Istanbul, Israel,China & people who drove in from other states like myself, do you know that none of us spoke the languages of each other but we talked through out the night and we understood every word , to this very day .... we are all good friends, we keep in touch almost daily this wouldn't have happened but for Dimash, a humble, kind & honorable human being.
