I love when he does this style! Just yesterday was Dimash's concert in Düsseldorf Germany, it was sooo incredibly good, you really can't comprehend that everything happens really live on stage before your eyes, although it was my third time.... But this concert was next level, sung so crystal clear from the very first moment, Dimash was so relaxed and happy and the happy open enthusiastic atmosphere in the audience there is unmatched! That flute is called duduk, a traditional Armenian instrument. Dimash loves the sound of it and used it in a couple compositions

❤❤❤❤❤ your reaction. This version is my favorite and also very sensual from moment he steps on stage. White suit, no shirt (shocking 1st time), baritone register. Stunning. Sohum, the music video filmed in Iceland in various locations from sunrise to sunset is stunning and an absolute must experience. I agree with others that Vocalise version is incredible and varies with each performance. “Know” is the song that live, MV, and vocalise need to be reacted to- each is unique and unbelievable. Невероятное выступление Димаша в Москве(Россия) на "Песне года" в 2019году. Еще невероятнее,безумно красивое выступление в туре Арнау в Киеве(Украина) в марте 2020 года. Это вокализ. Номер начинается со слов:Слушай мой голос! И также заканчивается. Такая магия,что дышать забываешь. Но есть еще и клип на это произведение. Очень интересный ,метафоричный,даже философская интерпретация,где Димаш выступает в роли рассказчика,которому все известно изначально. Будьте добры,не оставьте без внимания и эти версии,пожалуйста. As others have said, there are other versions of this song in vocalise, the Arnau Kiev concert version is a favorite, and other concert versions, the MV, I love all of them...the melody is so captivating and the way Dimash performs is mesmerizing, and different in subtle ways at each concert. I loved your description of the duduk as a "melodic sandwich " in this piece and loved your description of Dimash and what he embodies. That flute-like sound is the duduk, an Armenian instrument that Dimash mimics at the end of an Armenian song titled, "I'll Die For The Wind of The Mountains" he performed at his Yerevan, Armenia concert last year, a song he learned at the last minute a few hours before the concert after hearing it instead of another planned song...or so I read. The instrument is an Armenian instrument called a duduk, which you can hear in most of his Know videos. Dimash said in an interview that it is one of his favourite instruments.

No, what we see in this performance is a clarinet. The version Dimash sang at Igor's 65th birthday contains a duduk. Here, they try to imitate a duduk apparently by electronically altering a clarinet sound. A duduk is an oboe instrument, so the sound of a clarinet has to be altered to imitate a nasal oboe-like sound.
