Dimash is 29 years old in two days time. He gas done concerts all over the world including New York , London, Dubai he is on a tout of middle eastern countries at the moment. He has just done Turkey and Armenia. He fills stadiums and arena all over. Stranger, Olympico, Sinful Passion and Love is like a Dream are a few showing a wide variety of genres and vocal styles. This performance shut down the Chinese internet, when 600 million people went online to find out who he was and where he was from, next day he was famous and needed bodyguards. Been following him for 6+ years and listen to him daily. His range is deeper now and still retains the higher registry. he blends many genres of music to make beautiful music, he is a composer, actor, dancer, multi-instrumentalist, and great humaitarian also. It's so much fun going back 6 years and seeing how much Dimash has evolved and grown since then. Yes, this was a competition, but between established artists. Dimash was a wildcard and the youngest singer in the history of the show. He's now a global megastar with the respect of not only his own country but from the music industry around the world. He's currently living and working in LA with the producers and composers for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. He flies through genres as easily as he does octaves and when he composes for himself you will often hear elements from numerous genres within one song, especially in his Magnum Opus, The Story of One Sky which he composed, wrote the screenplay for the MV and acted the main role. He now sings in 15 languages, having added Armenian at one of his latest concerts. He speaks 3 languages fairly fluently including English and he also speaks a little Chinese.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! Born May 1994 in Kazakhstan, he was 22 at the time of this performance, at a Chinese tv contest for professional singers. (He was invited as an experiment, as he was a full-time student then. Even now, he’s still studying music and will have his Doctorate later this year). Dimash was the first singer on the first episode of the show. He WOWED everyone with this performance. He became an overnight sensation and blew up in China and on KZbin! I discovered him just a week later when he covered Vitas' song Opera 2. 😂 All of those contestants are professional singers/performers. Welcome to the world of Dimash. He is the top vocal athlete on the planet and has improved a lot since that SOS in 2017. He is a mega-star with millions of fans registered in over 140 countries. This performance on the TV show The Singer was the pivotal night where he shot to stardom. He can sing in 16 languages but only speaks 4. He has lots of music in english, like Stranger, Across Endless Dimensions, Screaming, Be With Me, Together etc. to name a few. Yeah Falco was such a loss. Dimash sings in many styles. This is not the music I ever listened to. I still don't listen to this style unless it is Dimash. 😊 I just don't vibe with it, but when Dimash sings, it goes straight to my heart and into my cells. Hi! I'll tell you a bit, I discovered Dimash at the same time I was on The Singer program in China by chance because I was following the program. I never felt for any musician or singer what I feel with him. I am 55 years old, I like many styles of music from AC / DC (I was in River when they came), opera, classical music, tango, etc. but with him it's amazing, so I understand you. He puts a lot of passion into his interpretation, he tells you a story in each song. If you have possibilities, I recommend that you look at his reports, you will discover a very humble being, with his feet on the ground. He does not believe himself a star, he knows he has a gift but he does not stay with that, he is super professional that is why he always continues to study and exercise with his teachers. He is super grateful to his family and to all those who ever taught him, and he says that he is simply the result of their work and effort and their dedication. He is very proud to be a Kazakh and his dream is to spread the music of the great Kazakh composers around the world. Let your audience join in the language of music without thinking about borders, cultural, political, etc. To a certain extent he succeeded because in his concerts you see people from different parts of the world, of different ages singing in languages that are not their own (Kazakh, Chinese, English, Russian, Italian, etc). He is also interested in the music of other cultures. It always expresses the need for a world without wars and the importance that must be given to the happiness of children, with a more just world for all. He considers himself an ordinary young man who has the dream of many, with his defects and his virtues, that his followers believe him to be perfect, but he remarks that he is not, he is only a professional who works what he likes and thinks about giving happiness and thrill with his art, he considers that this is his way of contributing for a better future. "Stranger" (New Wave-Live) is an epic ballad story about refugees and starting over in a new land. Anyone who who has ever had to start over in life understands this song. My husband I and and my children had done this. With just us our truck and what we could carry in it. Dimash is the best singer in the world; past or present! He mixes various genres into each song! He is technically perfect, strong and clear through all his 6+octave range! No one has come close or ever will in the near future; if ever! There is a Chinese artist (Hua Chenyu) that does come as close to Dimash by mixing genres into his songs and is so captivating to watch! Start with Nunchucks, Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Jackdaw Boy to start. Both artists are masters of their crafts and highly intelligent in their rearrangements of their covers but composes/writes their own music/songs too.

Aside from his vocal range and skills, charisma and performing/dramatic talents, Dimash has an uncanny ability to choose songs for covers which suit all that. SOS is a song from the French/Canadian rock opera Starmania (1979), which was written in the aftermath of the Indochina war in Vietnam where the US and French colonial administration attempted to prevail over Communism. It has a strong political theme and a tragic love story with a message much like Dimash's The Story of One Sky, the disorientation of young people scarred by a futile war and millions of victims. Moon landings and exploring the Universe added a yearning for the stars and a better world to the theme. The last phrase "dodo l'enfant do" relates to the death of the female protagonist, tormented by love and existential Angst as she cries for help (SOS). Daniel Balavoine was the French singer who first made SOS famous (a beautiful rendition and considered to be French patrimony). Dimash heard a much later rendition by Gregory Lemarchal. Both singers died very young adding their own drama to this song. Dimash, who actually resembles Lemarchal, took his version in the early 2000s as a model for his own performance, stunning even the French public with his superior rendition. Apart from his classical training, Dimash did study popular music. It is clear that Dimash researches his themes and songs thoroughly before he makes them his own. He captures the drama of this rock opera in one song. (This is my interpretation, coming from that post-second world war generation myself. Though also a French speaker, please forgive any inaccuracies in this synopsis). I like your reaction very much, and as an Austrian I'm particularly chuffed that you're also interested in Falko - Austria's Freddie Mercury - proving that music is a universal language. I only discovered Dimash some six weeks ago, when he rescued me from the Queen rabbit hole. Like most of us who hear Dimash for the first time - regardless of how varied and broad our previous musical interests (mine range from R&B, Motown to Bob Dylan, California soft rock, rock'n roll, Clapton, Freddie Mercury etc) - I've become obsessed with him. No need to say the obvious about him, just that he is probably the most influential artist of our times, who with a unique voice conveys a profound message that direly needs repeating over time. I love to watch first-time reactions when strong bearded men (and women 🤗) melt online. Please continue with Dimash, it is an enlightening and rewarding journey. He has monopolised my musical pastime anyway for the time being. I particularly like his mix of traditional Kazakh, classical and pop - he is not only an incomparable vocalist but also a talented composer, filmmaker, actor and silent philanthropist. Above all he is a genuinely kind and humble young man, who has astutely skirted the US music industry as an uncompromising artist. A bit like Queen/Freddie ('Death on two legs') in the 70s.

🎉🎉🎉 You've been dimashified! The only way to explain Dimash's singing is that he is beyond talented. His is unworldly a once in a lifetime singer. The best way I can describe the way he makes me feel is that he reaches inside you with his voice & raw emotions to actually sing & he touches your soul. I remember discovering Dimash & going down that rabbit hole he brought me to tears many, many times like no artist has ever done. Enjoy your journey with Dimash & if I could suggest one thing, please read his lyrics after listening to his songs. The lyrics of his songs are just as moving as the singing. Es curioso que se diga que no importa la letra, lo escucho muy seguido. Sin embargo con Dimash aprendemos que la letra siempre es hermosa y emotiva, siempre tiene un propósito. Es obvio entender que una voz y un talento inigualable no se va a malgastar en cantar una letra sin sentido. Dimash no solo es cantante, también es un excelente interprete. Dimash is the best vocalist and performer at this moment. In this video he was 22 and he was fantastic but now is 29 in one day and is awesome and incredible. This song from he's Digital Show in 2021, is mind blowing. You need to hear more from Dimash because he can sing in several types of music. Opera, pop, r&b, rap, rock etc. And his range goes from B2 to D8

As an old fan of Falco I really enjoyed your reaction. I'm glad to see someone keeping him alive. Falco was the first artist I knew to do cross over songs. He crossed genres (pop and hiphop, rap etc.) and also crossed the border of languages as you mentioned (German and English) Dimash is doing sth similar: He crosses genres as well (pop, classic, folk, jazz, musical, rap etc) Dimash himself calls it neoclassical and crosses the borders of languages by singing in 14 different languages. So I think you will love Dimash as I do. So keep reacting to him, you won't regret. If you want to see sth a little bit similar to Falco react to the official MV of "Be with me"😉

Sinful Passion and Stanger are exceptional - this performance was some time ago and he is now broadly acknowledged as the worlds most versatile singer. Believe it or not his range is so large that he can go much lower and much higher than was demonstrated in this song (including more notes than are on the piano).

Haha, your reaction is a bit like mine. It's not at all my style of music, but there's something with a person just starting to reach the human limit on how it is possible to sing. I fell into a rabbit hole for a while, just searching for all his songs and to see other peoples reactions of hearing him the first time. And this wasn't even the most astounding one. I think I'd go with Unforgettable Day, from the concert on Gakku TV for seeing his full power. His version of Diva Dance is cool too, the song from The Fifth Element that wasn't supposed to be possible for a human to sing.

He has a plethora of music on youtube. Diamsh just turned 29 yesterday but was 22 in this video. He trained classically for over 20 years. He has also trained to sing contemporary and pop music. Dimash is a multi instrumentalist and composer. Born and raised in Kazakhstan. Eurasian by ethnos and 6'3" tall. Very athletic, kind, humble, loving, caring and giving. In Kazakhstan, they have a tradition that the first born son can be raised by a set of their grandparents until age 10, then the entire family moves in together. His parents were entertainers and took advantage of this tradition and Dimash was raised by his paternal grandparents. He still calls them Mama and Papa will say he has two sets of parents. He loves his grandparents strongly and holds strong love and respect for them. They are the ones who put him through years of music school though they were closer to poor than wealthy. He now gives them whatever they want. He also has 2 siblings. A younger sister and the youngest is a brother. They are also very close and he brought his sister to the states a couple of days ago. She is in medical school. He just completed his doctoral studies and doctoral dissertation earlier this spring. He then moved to Los Angeles (temporarily) a few weeks ago. He is currently attending the L.A. campus of The New York School of Fine Arts majoring in Film Directing but has made some trips to do concerts in three countries and then to China.
