I thought I heard enough of Dimash not to be surprised. I was wrong. 😂

A different live rendition of this song was my first experience of hearing Dimash sing. I think it remains my favorite overall, precisely for all those radical jumps and shifts. And how he is just tossing out amazing part after amazing part. Yet still making it all flow together. It seems rare to find a singer whose default is vocal gymnastics, but that’s clearly his forté.

I listened to several different live versions so far. Each one a little different, but still amazing. It's quite clear how this would launch him - seems impossible, yet he makes it perfect.

With this song, you just wet your fingertips in the ocean under the name Dimash... React further to it and millions of Dimash fans will simply blow up your channel with hundreds of thousands of views and subscriptions. Dimash sings from classical to rap, he is full of surprises, have a good swim in this vast Ocean of pleasures. Do you remember the Diva song from The Fifth Element, a movie with Bruce Willis? In this film, the song of the alien Diva was made half with the voice of an opera singer, and half synthesized on a computer to show an alien voice so that human capabilities could not cover the range and jumps of this song, and so: Dimash sang it calmly, which proves that Dimash is an alien. When heard Dimash sing, I thought that he was not human. When heard what he said in an interview, realized that Dimash is more of a human than all of Us.

Late to the party as I've been racing in Sweden this weekend 🙂 GREAT reaction (as always). Yes, this was the SONG that "launched" him, but not the performance. IMO he did an even MORE amazing performance of this song when I believe he was 17 years old, performing at The Slavic Bazaar. Anyway, it's absolutely impossible NOT to be in awe by his vocal skills, ranging I believe 7,5 octaves. Or so I have heard at least. I reacted the exact same way as you did (and I guess everybody else as well) when I heard him perform this song for the first time 🙂 I'll leave you now, I have one weekend's worth of reactions to catch up on 😁🤣😊 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

This was a 3hr LIVE digital concert for his fans during lockdown ✨🤍✨ 🆘 The song itself is from Starmania a Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976. 👼🏻 Gregory Lemarchal was a young French singer who was the inspiration for DIMASH to sing 🆘 “SOS d'un terrien en detresse" Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a young age, Gregory defined all odds and won the fourth series of the singing contest Star Academy. He became an overnight sensation in France and went on to have a successful career. He was known for "La voix d'un ange"- the voice of an angel. Gregory succumbed to his illness at the age of “23💔” This video is a tribute to his memory. 💔❤️‍🩹❤️ So that there in no confusion as too “WHY DIMASH” sings this song. It is in the “Tribute to Gregory” and his message. The meaning of the lyrics in Gregory’s life are what holds Dimash’s heart✨🤍✨ THE STORY BEHIND 🆘 👼🏻”Angel Gregory" & Dimash SOS d'un terrien en detresse 🇫🇷 French with subtitles kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqHOg5l_hc56iJY IT’S WHERE DIMASH GETS HIS ✨“ANGEL WINGS”✨ The most impressive part is his ✨ “Honor & Spirit” ✨ ❤️2U&ALLU❤️🦌🦌💫🌎🕊️🇺🇸

This song is a pearl of the French songbook: It is a French-Canadian cyberpunk-rock opera called “Starmania”, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Gregory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the afflicted character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then to falsetto, the author sought to show a broad need to overcome a moment of despair and the pretense of accepting to reach a higher perspective! Dimash, currently at his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who have departed this world! Original version - Daniel Belavoine - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5y9pneeqrmerqc

Approximately seven or eight years ago I discovered the world of musical reactions. After wandering around different interpreters, I observed how Dimash's name appeared as a suggestion in many comments. I read that there was a Kazakh boy singing as a guest in the best contest on Chinese TV, I read that he sang a French song and that he was a true prodigy I prepared to listen to it...I will only say that since then I have been "hooked" on musical reactions and that it made me meet multiple artists that I had never even heard of. Thank you Dimash for opening the doors to me and thank you Aleks for such a wonderful reaction.

Finally!😁 I was looking forward to your reaction to this song and m glad that it didn’t disappoint.👌Once this performance changed all my knowledge about the vocal art of voice control. Dimash has performed this song numerous times at his solo concerts and he always sings it live (its generally considered one of the most difficult songs for singers). At first these wings irritated me, but as soon as I understood that these are Phoenix wings, everything fell into place. Listen to this song at his concerts in New York and Astana. Of course, he improvised there, since singing for three hours straight is not the same as to sing one song. Every time he dedicates this song to those who have passed away, either public figures or people from close circles. This time he mourns his murdered friend, Olympic medalist figure skater Dennis Tenn. kzbin.info/www/bejne/joWthKaAo8iCebs He sang almost the entire song in the fetal position. kzbin.info/www/bejne/apibqJluhdZ6d6c irritated

Thank you so much! Hahahaha! I kept putting it off, I think because I was told it was supposed to be my first reaction to him. I was like, nah, not yet. Finally, indeed. 😂 I thought I was ready, but nope. One thing I did notice but didn't comment on during the video is that he was singing insane notes crouched and on his knees - not the ideal singing position and he still did the impossible. Obviously, I won't react to all the performances of the same song, but I will listen to the ones you suggest here - thank you! ❤

@@AleksReacts Good move to check the original 😉 I can guess wich videeo you have seen cause there is not a lot, and unfortunatly there is no video of the first Starmania concert (the one from 78 or 79). A little information, but this is just my opinion, I have no proof : I think Dimash didn't make his cover based on Balavoine's original version, but was more inspired by a cover of early 2000's that a young singer made for a TV singer show. This singer was Gregory Lemarchal (and he won the competition)
@AleksReacts
@AleksReacts Ай бұрын
Thank you yet again! I've just listened to Gregory Lemarchal's version. What you're saying makes sense, as there are a lot more similarities between Dimash's and Lemarchal's version. Had you not told me, I would have thought that Dimash created a somewhat different arrangement, but it seems Gregory did. Listening to Lemarchal, I found a lot of comments on his short life. Sad to have such a young talent lost to this world. KZbin automatically continued into Écris l'histoire, so I heard that song too - he had a very sweet, pleasant voice.

@@AleksReacts As a french (and a Daniel Balvoine big fan too), it's of course more easy for me to be aware of all these covers, so if I can share some informations, I'm happy to do it 😉 Indeed, it's sad for Gregory, he would have a great carrier here in my opinion. What a terrible disease, but being able to sing like this with it, incredible !

Thank you for sharing that online! Quite obviously, you know more about music than I ever will, but we can still both enjoy it. @@AleksReacts It was written by Anna Petryasheva, a wonderful Russian composer. I first heard it performed by Maria Mirova, a stupendous vocal performance at 8 years old! Not this song, but Anna has composed quite a few songs expressly for Maria. I'd like to get you links for a couple of Maria's performances, but I don't have them handy on my phone. I'll see about getting them to you, I think you might enjoy them! Maria is now 18 or 19, I believe, a very gifted singer. She's known Diana Ankudinova since childhood - she doesn't have Diana's unusual contralto & mysterious stage presence - I guess she would be a mezzo-soprano. But she has a very unique and soulful quality & a confident, happy & cheerful stage presence, very expressive. I'll try to get you those links. Thanks again!😘
