Actually, it is in Russia and it is not their custom to stand as we do. But, notice the guy that did stand and clap; that's Igor, the billionaire that came out of semi-retirement to compose for Dimash. Igor is very famous in that part of the world. This youtube is several years old and Dimash is even better now; if, you can believe such a thing is possible!

This is not true. This clip is from Krutoy's TV show New Wave that he produces and hosts every year since 2002. Dimash and Krutoy already knew each other, and he was never retired. He had produced an album that year, in fact.

DIMASH ALONE AT 5 AM Dimash told a mutual friend at university, his swim training began at the age of 7 thru his later teenage years, up to 2 hours in total daily, the training designed for his age and body development to develop stamina, lung capacity and breath control.. The subject came up when another friend was telling us about taking a shortcut thru the gym, and encountering Dimash, alone, at 5 AM no less, on a dark blistery winter morning, slipping into the pool in the half light to do laps !! .. and my friend said he was half asleep and freezing, bundled up in a hooded parka and woolen muffler. Talk about discipline.

The man standing at the end in the white shirt is famous composer Igor Krutoy and that was his first time hearing Dimash. The blonde lady sitting is actually Igor’s sister who was the one who told him about Dimash. So she really does know Dimash’s talent. It’s just that the Russian audiences are reserved and show their appreciation by giving flowers, not by standing ovations. Believe me he has tons of fans in Russia and is very, very appreciated there.

Where do you people get these stories from, wow!. Dimash stated on a Russian TV Show interview: Dimash & Kanat (his father) met Igor Krutoy in Italy at a Jacob jewelry event; before this Show. Igor Krutoy is the founder of the New Wave Competition, and continues to be an Organizer of New Wave. Igor Krutoy would Not invite an unheard singer to perform as a Guest Singer at his Competition show. Igor Krutoy was with Dimash on this TV show and confirmed when and how he met Dimash.

Two-year-old Dimash made drawings in which he presented himself on a stage, with speakers, instruments, etc. His mother has already shown this drawing. Dimash's family is very connected to the arts, even his grandparents. When his parents were on stage singing, the two-year-old child would go up on stage to thank the audience. He said if anyone opened his veins he would find music.

Hello my dears. I will tell You why the audience are not jumping up and down. I was in my country, Armenia, a very big singer, Alto viola player. In one word I was a very good singer and musician. And it was a long, long time ago. Even at that time people didn't jump from joy. They just applaud and give flowers. In my time, you could walk in the street, talk to people. They respected their privacy. Not anymore, but when it comes showing their joy, they just applaud. So don't feel bad. I love you bought, and Your reactions. Can you please react to his Across Endless Dimension? Thank You.

There were people from 54 different countries that traveled to New York. Dimash enrolled in music college at 5 yrs old. His vocal cords have received intense training for 20 yrs. He holds master's degrees in many different types of music. He is considered to be the best vocalist in the world and a master performer. He sings in 12 languages and plays many instruments. He is an exceptional singer and excels in martial arts. His mother is a world-class opera singer, and his father is also a well-known singer. He was raised by his grandparents, which is customary in his home country of Kazakhstan. He appears in front of crowds of hundreds of thousands of people and is known to give the proceeds to charity. He is a very humble and shy man. He stands at 6 ft. 3 1/2" tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was 24 yrs old at the time of this performance. His first album went platinum in 47 seconds.

Everyone is looking for his spaceship, but he doesn't need it. He himself is a cosmos of sounds. His voice lives and flies there. And everyone who listens to him not just with their ears fly with him. This is not just the result of physical exercise, it is a spiritual practice that allows you to expand the space within yourself. I think it is not in vain that he is studying with a Chinese teacher. Someone joked that singing Dimash often falls to his knees in order to "ground" and not fly into space. Hearing him for the first time, and he, having easily passed 4 octaves, bowed on stage, I grabbed my throat. It hurt. My ligaments, obeying Dimash, followed him and could not stand it, although they did not make a sound. Then I realized that you just need to "fly away" into his space - nothing hurts there, though you often start crying - not often on earth does the soul experience such emotions.

You talked about his training and continuing work and dedication - YES. Even more - it is as if the universe conspired to put everything in place to give us Dimash. Born into a musical family vs a family of sportsmen or physicians or manual laborers- even with the most loving and supportive family they may not have understood or appreciated or been able to nurture his young talent. His intense interest even as a toddler, his work ethic and single minded focus, his cultural exposure that revealed to him so many vocal styles and unusual progressions. Perfect pitch. Add to this his physiology - very long vocal cords, and naturally fit and lean. Parents and culture that led to his natural humility and freed him from distractions like drugs or drink during his teen years. All of it. As Dimash said - if you would cut him, music would flow from his veins. And we get to witness the mystery and magic of this once in a lifetime singer.

Excellent reaction as always. For those who like information about Dimash's songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song (originally this song was sung in two octaves and Dimash takes it to 5 Octaves Vocal range). In addition, he added the final part, with an oriental technique (where he makes a particular sound rapidly vibrating his voice, which is the traditional way of some eastern countries to time their dead, in this case the original singer). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the name of the band is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The late singer (of whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik along with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboard player, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash. Greetings from Panama.

The yodel sound is a operatic tool/exercise for classical training. But Dimash mastered it & utilized it in 2nd performance of Strangers on a show called Super Singers, I think that's the name. But also remember that he's said that his vocal cords are larger than normal . Imagine the training he's done since 5 yrs old to stretch, strength & control them bc of size. The swimming doesn't just help to strengthen the right & left sides of his lung(yes we only have one lung R L sides of our chest) but it also strengthens his diaphragm so when it moves up to the lung they work together to sustain his notes. He's a master for masters to learn from. Oh the maestro @ the piano, he composed Sinful Passion. Talk about equal respect, you're witnessing it.

To truly appreciate Dimash, you should listen to songs he sang casually with friends, in the car, at karaoke, or at home with family and relatives. He sang some real pearls during rehearsal breaks, it’s a shame we won’t see these songs on stage. True, Di put a lot of effort into the singing technique, but what is noticeable in him more than in other singers is his great, great passion for singing and this is felt in every one of his songs.

Dimash is on the god-like level of vocal art, for sure! And believe me, Lukas, this reaction was very hot for an usual Russian audience with an average taste for pop music who came to New Wave (which is a pop festival and contest for new pop singers). Dimash always gets incredible amounts of flowers on such concerts, that’s an indicator of true recognition here in Russia 😉. One of my favourite things in this song among many others you mentioned is the way he sings words “Give me” (Dai mne) - each time with different emotion: asking, demanding, pleading, begging. Unbelievable Dimash. Can’t wait to get to his concert.

Thank you for your genuine appreciation of the talents of Dimash. There are cultural differences and customs when it comes to audiences around the world. Just a little info about Audiences in Russia and Kazakhstan; ,they are reserved, standing ovations and loud overt clapping, is Not something they do. Giving flowers to the Artists at the end of the performance is what they do to show their appreciation. Also, a little background about the "Sinful Passion" song. Sinful Passion is a cover song originally performed by B.Shukenov and A’Studio. This performance is a beautiful interpretation and tribute by Dimash. The original singer (B. Shukenov) died several years ago, but the remaining members of A’Studio were playing on stage with Dimash during this performance. After this performance (when Dimash was receiving flowers) He expressed his apprecation to A'Studio for their guidance, dedication and showing the younger generation about good music. Btw, Kanat (Dimash's father) stated in a Kazakh interview; that the "trill" Dimash performed in Sinful Passion was Yakutian (Turkic) in origin, using his own interpretation. (Kazakh people are descendants of ancient Turkic tribes). I have many B.Shukenov songs in my playlist. Dimash has stated that "Mirage World" by B.Shukenov is one of his favourites (it is beautiful and also in my playlist). Dimash recently recorded "Amanat" which was also a song previously sung by B.Shukenov; it is in Dimash KZbin Channel.

You must react to Samaltau. By the way! In every song Dimash tell us a story. Sometimes they are legends, poems, and folk music from some countries. His Phd is about music and the impact of migrations in the culture. In the new version of the song "Stranger" the black and red cape means chaos and strength and the white jacket means light and hope. This song is about the feelings when we are in a stranger land.

Please react to Ikanaide with your producer I so want to watch him listen to that performance from the Tokyo jazz festival 2021. I know you've already reacted to it but he needs to. There are many people who comment on how reserved the crowd is on several of his performances. It is mostly a cultural thing. Especially at venues like this where he's one of several performers and the crowds just aren't rambunctious like they are here in the West. You notice also unless it's at one of his live concerts you don't hear people screaming and applauding and hooting and hollering in the middle of the song either. Something we tend to do in the west also as an audience.

Love your reaction guys, especially when it comes to our dear King Dimash! He will never stop to amaze you! I think now you should check the song dedicated to us, Dimash's Dears! The song is " Give me love" from his New York concert! I'm sure you'll love it! Also, since you're reacting to the King, I think it's now the time to react to the Queen, SoHyang, South Korean singer, cancer survivor, who decided to sing only for God and people cimfort! You can check her" You raise me up cover from Immortal songs" where she was suffering from Pneumonia! Be careful guys, the video will be certainly blocked! You will have to blurr it very well! Can't wait! Greetings from Lebanon🇱🇧!

Cultural differences also impact audience behaviour. Love the jaw-dropping facial expressions every time Dimash presents something new. This song was originally recorded by A-Studio from Kazakhstan. The pianist was the composer and the guitarist was also a member of the band. The original singer died tragically several years back and Dimash added a traditional Eastern lament using a style of singing that is similar to yodelling.Great reaction!

That's exactly what happens to my brain when I think about Dimash. I have brain farts. Things don't compute. I have to relisten to try to make sense. It's so rewarding and baffling to absorb this much incredible super legendary talent wrapped up into this human's body (not alien apparently) from little old Kazakhstan. After being swept over by his voice and then learning what type of human he is then your brain gets more fried. Dimash speaks with his actions. We listen to his voice.

Great reaction, and especially because now you know Dimash better and you know the effort he has made to sing the way he does, and as he said, he feels grateful and blessed to have had the support of his parents to dedicate himself completely to his musical education. the most beautiful thing that is humble and that does not make those notes to impress, if, no, which is the style that he chose. fantastic reaction thanks. ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Most people think of vocal cords and the sound from them , like piano keys. But with Dimash, I feel like his vocal cord is liquid. no keys, breaks or steps, just fluidity. By the way, Dimash and this A Studio band perform a lot together, They aren't shocked anymore, what you see is their complete focus on Dimash and his voice to try and match the timing perfectly.

Dimash and A-Studio do not perform together. This was the only time of their joint performance. However, Dimash lured percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky to his musical group. His style changed a lot with this. Ilya is very artistic and expressive in the DQ-band, in contrast to his reserved style of behavior in the A-Studio band.

Play his videos to the end you will always be surprised by what he does, what he says after the performance. Dimash is fascinating and charismatic as a person not only as a singer. This was the 20th Anniversary of A Studio the band with him, they are a Kazakh band based in Russia and they asked 24 year old Dimash to join them. He composed and produced they crazy ending that made this song a hit all over again in Russia, he sings here in Russian. His sound manager is Erlan Bekchurin who is like a big brother to Dimash they are best friends, very close and Dimash is Godfather to Erlans son. Dimash will always introduce him at his concert as he does all his DQ band, DQ dancers and his beloved backing singers Rassul Usmanov, Zarina Bozhakova and Jordan Arakelyan who is Erlans Wife. All are close friends. The man giving the standing ovation in the white shirt is Igor Krutoy and he came out of semi retirement that year, 2018 to work with Dimash and together they are responsible for giving us some of Dimash's most beautiful songs. So, that's a little bit of background for you 💖

It was a concert on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the band A'Studio, and on the 20th anniversary of making of "Sinful Passion". Dimash cannot be a godfather (because he is a Muslim, not a Christian), but a spiritual father of Erlan's son, who, as far as I know, is also not a Christian. So you make a confusion. For what?

If you would have let it run a few seconds more you would have heard him thank the musicians and expressed the importance of teaching the youth about music. Hes such a heartfelt man. Technically there is no better singer. And this song is a good example of his great vocal fry in the beginning part. They found he had perfect pitch when he was 5 and began formal training. At 5 he also one a competition as a pianist.

Dimash has been compared to Farinelli who was castrato. By the way, to the person on the right, Dimash's voice is all his, not generated or manipulated by a computer. The sound you heard and couldn't figure out was a folk flutter yodel. Dimash - the living legend. 🤗❤

It's that Triangle that cracks me up - every time. He's so SERIOUS with it! "Ting!" Can anyone hear that 'Ting'? Obviously it's a vital part of the whole piece... :). No - Seriously - That percussionist is I believe in most of Dimash's performances & is very versatile & Damned Good ! Meanwhile - I'm not sure that it's correct to say that Dimash practices {only!} 3 hours per day. Maybe Formal practice sessions - but people around him in interviews have described him as constantly humming & singing & creating. Except for when he's sleeping I guess. Even his mother describes him as 'away' with his music often - to the point where she worries that he works through the night on a particular piece or forgets to eat or has even missed a flight to one of his concerts! But this explains a lot - don't you think? This means he doesn't just 'Live For' Music - Dimash 'Lives INSIDE' Music. And it shows.

This is amazing of course, but I loved that your producer really enjoyed the first part of the song where Dimash is not doing all the crazy stuff. I think it would be good if you showed a song where Dimash doesn’t do any of the vocal gymnastics or high voice. Something like Quaragym-ai, Amanat or Marigolds. They are so stunningly beautiful. The first performance of Quaragym ai is so heartfelt, as he sung it in remembrance of his mentor , who wrote that music. Tragically the mentor had died of covid. The pianist for that was also a fellow student. Dimash sings it in his digital concert too, but the first rendition is exquisitely painful.

You guys are so much fun! I really enjoy your Dimash reactions. The first time I saw this performance, I was bothered by the audience as well. I have since learned that this is typical of a Russian audience - it's just odd to American eyes. On the other hand, I appreciate that they are quiet and respectful during the performance. There's nothing worse that paying for a concert only to be surrounded by screaming fans that drown out the performance that everyone came to see. I hope that if (when) I get to see Dimash in person, I will be in an audience that allows space for his magic to happen. Thanks for the reaction!
