Not singing live? yes, not a new thing for many singers.many other singers lip sync, does not mean Dimash is being claimed and generalized ! If you watch his training vocal and many more, I think as a vocal coach, you should know it right away. I get it! But I can totally hear his breath when he sings at some phrases. It's weird to me as you claimed him not singing live at his CONCERTS! if you ever watch his concert? not only his concert but many other stages, he sings live all the time.

Dears, the one performance she saw had prerecorded segments, Passione at 2019 New Wave. Even so Dimash was singing live. If you watch him very out of breath at the end talking to the audience. He was still catching his breath from that long belt. Because the beginning started as a precording due to the added sound effects, and the segment where that lady lip syncs poorly, plus the part where the little girl sings is also prerecorded, a lot of people think Dimash is lip syncing. They have not seen his concert performances where he plays those parts on a screen behind hin so you can tell which parts are a recording and when he sings on stage. It's also too bad that a lot of Dears agree publicly with these reactioners making the same wrong assumptions.

@@yogajedi3337 you do realize we are discussing Passione not Love of Tired Swans which may or may not be lip synced in every case. This was the premiere of Passione. Watch the fancam version. And the second version at the VTB Arena has slight variations to differentiate it from the premiere. I am not claiming Dimash never lip syncs as many tv shows do require him to do so especially in Russia. Case in point was the second performance of Opera 2 in China that everyone agreed was lipsynched because it "sounded the same" (like your examples of Love of Tired Swans). Recently a vocal frequency expert ran both versions through his software program, the Singer version and the second performance later and found the two are not identical although they sound exactly the same to human ears. The tiny difference is so small only the frequency graph can tell. We should not speak without proof one way or the other.

Yes, as every singer does he also sings for pre-recorded sometimes. But most of the time he sings live and that doesn't make a big difference either way for listeners. And saying him not singing live at concerts is a big disrespect for his effort if you actually do research. There are full live concerts of his on KZbin, check them out first. Dimash's "Bastau solo concert" was one of the best live performances I have ever seen. Plz watch or react to it. Plz don't tell me that wasn't live.

I was at that concert. It was 2019 in Kremlin, Moscow. Amazing concert! He did sing for about 2,5 hours and it both felt like an eternity and as if it was barely five minutes. (Also, have to say that the Kremlin is an astounding concert hall with unbelievable acoustic and if Dimash ever holds another concert there it will probably be sold out in seconds.)

And of course there are a lot of Fan Cams from this concert. He performed 21 songs where usually artists do between 10 and 15. New York is special, too. His first concert in USA. His childhood dream.

If you watch one of his solo concerts (he has several on his KZbin channel) which last 2-3 hours, you can clearly see the he's singing live all the concert. He switches between "easy"/"difficult" and doing excessive physical training in order to be able to do it. Some TV shows may require pre recorded performance but clearly Dimash doesn't need it unlike some other artists who unfortunately sound pretty bad live.

You are completely wrong! ALL of his concerts are live. The only thing that are from time to time for parts prerecorded are background chorus and some instrumental tracks. Even Olimpico in a full loaded Stadion was 100% live. In the beginning of his career some songs on Russian TV were preceded, not for his own wish, but it is a ethernal rule that all artists shows on Russian TV are preceded. Only the influence of a well known Russian Media Mogul made them an exception for Dimash Yes he is so good that you can imagine that is purely live - but you can make yourself a testimony on his Prague concert in Spring next year 😜

Это и есть потрясающее удовольствие - сравнивать разные исполнения одной песни, потому что Димаш поёт вживую и никогда не повторяется. Песни всегда различаются по характеру и окраске. Тем более интересно наблюдать за его взаимодействием с музыкантами, потому что он всегда импровизирует. Поклонники только что его рот изнутри не сняли. Успели обсудить степень красноты гортани (на некоторых концертах он пел нездоровым), вибрацию языка и глубину вдоха. Литры пота не считали, их видно.и без сильного приближения. Но вот приятный, внушающий уважение эксперт утверждает, что Димаш поёт в записи. Здесь много людей, бывших на его концертах и мы точно знаем, что это неправда. Если лжёт эксперт, как ему доверять? А если вы просто видели 2-3 песни и делаете столь обязывающие выводы, тогда вы голословны, и отсюда - некомпетентны. Один из широко известных случаев подмены - никак не синхронизации! - на концерте Димаш исполнял ВЖИВУЮ песню " Know", как вокализ. Есть вариант этой песни со словами - авторства известного российского поэта, магната, миллиардера, владельца многих медиаплатформ и музыкальных каналов Михаила Гуцериева. В теле-версии режиссёры полностью заменили вокализ на студийную запись со словами. Возможно, из раболепия перед автором. Димаша, конечно, не спрашивали. Ни о какой синхронизации речь не шла, это вообще подлог. Истинная версия записана fancam, есть множество этих записей. Если вы видели подобные версии, не выдавайте это за истину - это означает, что Димаша вы не слушали, разве что пару песен.

But if u get a lot of course comments, it’s bc this fixation on Dimash singling live is not a thing & I genuinely rack my brain trying to think what performances gave u that impression. I’ll just rattle off a list of performances that are decidedly not prerecorded (basically all of them save one or 2 tv show performances *maybe) SOS- Singer competition, Slavic Bazaar, Tokyo Jazz Festival, Sister Cities Olimpico- from his concert. (A sports one & 1 other the sync is so bad it def looks prerecorded but it’s not) Sinful Passion- New Wave, there’s also fancams & concert versions that are also live & he always changes his style Everything on the Singer competition- Adagio, The Show Must Go On, Hello, All By Myself, etc Ave Maria & others just done at New Wave Ok actually I’m not gonna type it all out bc it’s literally every performance I can think of save a tiny few like a Russian tv show or like I said one song with dancing at one venue recently I think was a mix. I discussed this with his coach and this applies to all artists, not only Dimash. 1) Live TV shows are mostly prerecorded for obvious reasons. 2) Concerts - a few few songs will be pre-recorded to give the artist a breather (this also goes for shorter concerts deoending on how taxing it is) . Definitely untrue to say he sings more prerecorded than live.

I don't know why you say you don't play live, you reacted to 4 Dimash songs ... SOS and Opera 2 were 100% live because they were sung by a singer in China which was a contest where only live is played. At mademoiselle Hyde it was live and at sinful passion I had the honor and pleasure of being at that concert and I guarantee you that it was 100% live. He did a lot of things in that concert through which he proved that his voice is live so I can't agree with you at all. But I hope that one day you will have the desire to participate in a Dimash concert and you will realize then that the live version of Dimash beats the recording

I agree the ones I looked at were live. I struggled to find other KZbin clips that were live though. I started to look at 3 other songs only to hear they were pre recorded. This concert and the others were 100% live. 👍

Love your hair btw! Dimash is probably the best live singer out there, seriously. I’m speaking as someone who knows a fair amount of some of the best singers in the last few decades, some of them personally. 👉Have u seen Daybreak from his Bastau concert? Just incredible. I haven’t seen this version of screaming (the director’s jump cuts all the time not my favorite for studying his singing). I think it’s a catchy pop song. I definitely do not know what “so many shows prerecorded” that u are referring to…? Genuinely asking. his concerts are totally live, there’s thousands of fan cams that prove this. His newest release Ave Maria is very much live & life changing. Not the Ave Maria most people know (there are actually over 40 compositions & Igor Krutoy composed a simple variation for Dimash). I really like u & your reactions, always look to see if you’ve done more Dimash. But your view of him is a bit perplexing :) His newest live of Be With Me from Slavic Bazaar in my opinion is a mix of live & prerecorded, which disappoints me bc I think it was the venue & not his ability, also think it lends credence to ppl thinking he does it all the time when he doesn’t. He literally does less of that than any singer I’ve seen. 99.9% of the time it’s completely live & pretty damn perfect. Ok so doubt you’re still reading but as I said Daybreak Bastau is soooo good. Ave Maria. But I also recommended u long ago see Autumn Strong from Arnau (in a striking red suit)- it’s not the version most react to. I love it especially bc of the close camera work to really watch him sing, & his masterful choices along with his mic work at the end 🤯

And will never be in the same league as Dimash, factually speaking, sorry. It’s frankly silly for either of them to be compared to one another. It’s like comparing a sprinter & an Ironman champion. Or Bruno Mars to Mozart. There is no need to compare. They are both insanely talented, dedicated, doing something with great passion, & moving people immensely with their talent. Hello, I like the reactions to Dimash, for many reasons, and with all respect for your profession, Dimash always sings live, he has many concerts where you can appreciate him. Although some have a more "formal" presentation, it is due to the type of public or place where he appears. It is not the same for Dimash to sing before the Russians, who have a very particular way, even in their interaction with him, than to sing in China where his audience is more "noisy, participative, etc" so to speak, in some way.

@@2010lunismany of his most popular videos on KZbin are of seemingly live performances in which he is actually lip-synching. That's not Zoë's fault, nor yours for wanting to defend him. It's just a fact, about a choice that Dimash has repeatedly made. We can discuss why he has made that choice, and maybe he has good reasons; and we can even discuss whether it much matters. But given that he can really sing, no-one denies that, it's striking how many of his performances are mimed.

@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach I´m really with you on this one. It´s so easy to hear when Dimash lip sings. Lately he also has some heavily studio produced schmaltz productions like his Ave Maria, artistically it's a joke fitting the uneducated. The problem for what I call High notes singers is they become a sort of circus acts like also Marcelito Pomoy. And if you know about Vitas it's very obvious Dimash to a great extent parroted on Vitas mannerism. Dimash was launched as a polished remake of Vitas but arrogantly Dimash never mentioned Vitas as his inspiration but he didn't hesitate to sing one of Vitas great compositions without his permission and not even an excuse. Dimash undoubtly has a great range and smooth transition, there are some live videos on party level where you can see his Adam apple stretching out to reach the high notes, but as I said it's more of a circus act whenever he throw that in compositions where they do no belong. And it's very taxing for the voice and difficult hit exactly, so, yes, to be safe he started lip sing them instead. But that is what he will go to history as, the guy with the high notes and smooth transitions, not a s a great artist.

It's easily done, just find different performances of certain songs that are sonically and vocally identical. Love is like a dream and Your love are two examples that spring to mind. There are clues, such as the amount of compression on the sound, and the absence of vocal artefacts - mouth noises, small deviations in pitch, the effect of bodily movements, mouth noises, etc. He's good at lip-synching, no doubt of that, so you might have to look and listen carefully for the things that are conspicuous because they are absent, but would be present if he was singing live. Try comparing Love is like a dream from the Kremlin (pre-recorded) to Slavic Bazaar (live) and you will hear the difference.

When he lipsync you would know because it is so obvious but when he didn’t lipsync some people would still think he lipsync just because he sounds too perfect. I don’t understand why he must make a mistake first to prove he sings live. Is imperfection an indicator of live singing? Why can’t he sings perfectly and still not being accused as fraud? Edit: I was in both his Bastau and Arnau concerts so I can attest that he never once lipsync. Especially Bastau, every songs were perfectly sung and he was often out of breath at the end with sweat down pouring like a marathon athlete just from singing.

It based on real life accident in China In 1999 a father a mother and their 2.5 years old son took vacation on a cable car.. then there's an accident, the father hold the baby and lift him to the safety.. I have recently heard about learning "phono-mimicry". Apparently many expert singers all learn to to phono-mimic, to a point where no one can tell the difference just by looking at the throat. If he comes to Canada some day, I 100% hope it's a shorter concert where everything is truly live! (Dimash's breath control is tremendous, but Igor Krutoy songs require extreme breath control even on a Dimash scale, and I think it's why most of those songs end up being playback. They actually require quite bit of modification to be able to be sung live. Krutoy's compositions are delectable, but of an extreme level of difficulty) His rapping skill is totally awesome, and if you look at his rap lyrics, you will find they look nothing like rapper speak!!! He talks about love of family and love of land, so different, but rap sound is impeccable! The "Qu"s and "r"s are quite similar to the way we speak French in Quebec, and it rap sounds like Québécois rap too! Even his pop songs include a large part of his skill set. And you even got to hear his little Picachu shout out to the audience!

Wow! 😳 This reaction is so disappointing and in my opinion appears a bit disparaging towards Dimash. I just can’t believe how one can make assumptions without proof while never having attending any of his concerts. So, should we all presume now, that all artists that we listen that we’ve attended their concerts aren’t singing live? That may be the case for sure for the majority but not necessarily Dimash in my opinion. Have you thought or stated that towards others that you’ve reacted to? She likes to jump to conclusion quickly when claiming and acusing singer( Dimash) even though she just reacted just a few of his performance, yet always picked the most unpopular ones either Dimash is tired with the last song of his concert or he is chillin’ and playing around as relaxing on stage. She never chooses the videos where people requested her for Dimash, she picks the most random unpopular ones and then pick on every single detail to claim Dimash this and that! If she picks the ones that have more views, she knows she doesn’t have any critics to say about it. You are full of assumption. You should not generalize. It is OK if you believe that a singer sing lip sync at that moment then said it, but do not generalize. Some vocal coach even do not know about back track vocal mixing with live vocal. They need learn basic sound engineering and practice to improve their listening.

From what I have read it is mainly Russian shows that pre record. His concerts I don't think I have viewed maybe a few who say he doesn't sing live. Maybe you need to view the fan cam versions that show he is singing live.

Look at his earlier performances on the Russian, Kazakh, Belarusian stage, where the contact with the audience is in their native language. These Chinese performances are perceived differently. Not the same atmosphere. It is advisable to watch Dimash's performance accompanied by composer Igor Krutoy. This is a cosmic connection between a singer and a composer. Particularly interesting is the performance accompanied by world stars Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina (top 5 world sopranos, prima of the Vienna Opera House).

I just want to say, I love that you keep it real, and you should never change. Many Dimash fans believe that he never lip syncs and never want to be proven wrong lol. Dimash is still my favorite singer but he’s not perfect, no one is. We all make mistakes, we all need breaks and Dimash sometimes can’t control if he lip syncs or not

Bist du schon auf einem Konzert von Dimash gewesen? Im April gibt es ein in Düsseldorf. Die Tickets sind erschwinglich. Besuch sein Konzert, dann kannst du dir ein Urteil erlauben. Dimash als Aushängeschild für deine Gesangstunde zu missbrauchen finde ich nicht richtig. Du glaubtest angekommen zu sein! Ich finde, das hat nicht so ganz geklappt. Es ist nur meine Meinung. Oh Dears! Zoe is quite right in pointing out that some of the most popular of Dimash's performances on KZbin are lip-synched. Love is like a dream, and Your love (both from the Kremlin, probably not coincidentally) are two examples that spring to mind, which are vocally and sonically *identical* to 'performances' given elsewhere. And you can hear it - the sound is too compressed, and lacking in the sonic artefacts that are a part of any live performance - such as here. I would say on that basis that I doubt any of the performances he has just given at Sochi featured a live vocal. Three of these were premières of new songs, and the whole event is built around a singing competition. He has not had a demanding performance schedule of late, so it seems unlikely that he would need to be protecting his voice. So it seems strange and perplexing that he should be miming these performances. Is it at the behest of the TV companies? Russia seems to have a conspicuous and systemic problem with authentic performances in sport at the moment, but does this extend to the arts as well? If so, it's very Putin-esque, an obsessive determination to appear strong and invulnerable, allied with an almost pathological tendency to lie nakedly and without shame (as did Trump, but four years was enough). That's not a very good prescription for anything, least of all the arts. So maybe Dimash is subject to forces he cannot control. Or maybe this is his choice? It would be interesting to know. I'm not a Dear, but I am a fan, and have devoted a lot of time, admiration and emotion to his music, and his voice. But I can't deny what my ears tell me. I don't hold with statements such as 'greatest ever', because that's not a meaningful comparison to make between artists, or of artistry. Who was the greatest singer of the 20th Century? I don't know. Was it Callas? Elvis? Aretha? Pavarotti? Ella? Brel? Whitney? Streisand? Or any one of dozens of others, many of them unknown to me, from other cultures or musical traditions of which I am ignorant. And these are not necessarily my favourites (although a couple definitely are). What connects all, or most of them, is that they established their reputations through live performances, even in the era of studio recordings. Live is special, unique, synergistic, profound. Recordings are different, and we appreciate them in a different ways. But presenting a recording as if it were live ... that immediately undermines some important things, such as authenticity, integrity and trust. Once those are lost, it's hard to get them back again. Dimash is human, and the pressure his own reputation creates for him by now must be daunting. I don't think lip-synching is the answer though. If he is being forced to do it, then maybe like other artists before him, he will need to find a different environment to perform in. I can't imagine it's satisfying to go through the motions, and be applauded for doing so, even if it is rewarded.

I saw him in one interview say that he couldn't be bothered lip syncing as it was too much trouble. I also read that some of the Russian TV channels actually 'overplay' his live performance just in case he slips up on some of his really difficult songs. So, while he is actually singing them live they have overlaid a recorded version 'just to be on the safe side lol! (Obviously they still don't know him very well!!) I've read the comments & can't watch your reaction because I will get too annoyed so will skip this one, sorry.
