Hey everyone, you guys are sharing some really great information and asking awesome questions in the comments. (As well as some spicy comments as well lol). I would love to address and answer a bunch of these, but to write to every single one with my schedule is extremely hard at the moment. So, I would like to get everyone's opinion on something. Deepest respect to you, especially your strength in serving your country with patriotism, intelligence and humanity. I work with Veterans in Canada and this video from Dimash hits me hard too - even having only had exposure through first person accounts. You may wish to jump to lighter music from Dimash for a while (have you listened to Be with Me?). Dimash is incredibly talented musically, but his greatest talent may just be his ability to evoke emotions in his listeners. Bravo for braving this video despite the initial scene in the water already disturbing you. Prayers from Canada.

Я из Казахстана , Алматы . Мы были на его концерте в сентябре 2022 г.Это было потрясающе и НЕЗАБЫВАЕМО . Он исполнял эту композицию впервые в Алматы. Я была просто в потрясении от его исполнения. Стадион был завороженный . 35000 человек на стадионе и почти 10000 за стадионом слушали его , пели , танцевали и плакали .... This is why he's different, this is why he's so respected around the world. Not just because of his incredible voice but because he truly cares about the message of peace he carries with him in all his appearances and concerts. Have you ever heard of a singer who's called upon to meet with politicians and take part in global forums, because I haven't. He's 29 years old yet he's treated with the utmost respect by political figures around the world. Only yesterday he had to miss the opening of his sister's restaurant because he received an urgent call from his President to meet with him and President Macron of France. You should see his speech on the ethics of peace from the Central Asian Media Forum, it's on his channel and it was incredible.

Great reaction my man. This one is hard to watch, for anyone. I'm not an military man, but the message is clear and everyone can understand it. It hurts. The message does. The song is incredible. Dimash wanted to tell this story. He directed it, is an actor in it, sang everything, and he composed the music. This is one of the most expensive music video productions in history and it only happened because he insisted on it. He reinvested much of his personal earnings into this production; to get his message out.

Thank you for your great and empathetic reaction. In The Story Of One Sky he sings the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife was also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Ohm", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches. If you want to know more about this video check out dimashnews. com Btw, Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰. He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. Děkuji za reakci, pro vás to bylo obzvláště těžké. Dimash k tomuto videu říká: Všichni jsme děti jednoho Boha, žijeme na stejné planetě, pod jedním nebem. Měli bychom se k sobě chovat s respektem, v míru, s láskou, spolupracovat. Myslím, že by toto video mělo vidět co nejvíce vojáků a politiků, aby si všichni připomenuli hodnotu lidského života na této planetě! :-)

Thank you for your reaction. I can tell it got very REAL for you. It really hit home. You have seen stuff that us civilians can hardly imagine. War is ugly and brutal. No one should ever have to live through that and yet we are now at the verge of possible WW3. Dimash is a very vocal champion for peace. His art form is pure music that takes you through a journey every time and never fail to touch every one of us right in the heart. This was a roller coster ride, indeed. I saw the video of this song performed live in concert, and he gave it his ALL, and at the end of the song, he was completely spent. Got to love Dimash.

Power hungry Pipers...but even larger and darker forces driving them. Humanity finds itself in an unsolvable conundrum. We're all to blame with no way to fix ourselves. But God has provided the Salvation the world needs. Jesus. He is coming and when he does "men will no longer learn war". A glorious promise that is sure. Thank you for reacting. Many walk into it and are caught off guard as you were but few have seen it up close. Let's keep the hope of a war free world in our hearts and do our best to be kind to each other. 💥THEY SAID IT COULD NEVER BE DONE AGAIN ❗Too intricate and technical, intense, intellectually demanding, after world famous, pianist, composer Franz Liszt composed the first Symphonic Tone Poem, a diminished symphony, in the early 1800s. Dimash stood on his shoulders, composed one, wrote a screenplay, acted it, sang it, put it in movie format and distributed it, bringing the international music and entertainment industry to its knees, in this 3 year effort and monumental achievement. Within weeks, LA was knocking on his door and at their invitation, he spent 3 weeks there in high level meetings with US entertainment executives such as David Foster, and artists, much talk of awards in industry journals !

This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life. Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb) So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. And so violence is not the way (You can murder the "bad guy" but if everybody thinks that violence is an answer, another "bad guy" will appear for sure.) And then we see that his son made a better decision... His son joins others in seeking peace. That is the final answer. Hug from Brazil 😍🇧🇷
