Hi Guys! That mic-shake he did here he also did in Opera #2. That is to prove he is not Lip-Syncing. You will recall that after the verses were done Dimash did 3 modulations (key change) during the second modulation he waved the mic back and forth like here. With this mic-shake he is setting up his stab at a very high note. The note by the way is a D 8, it is a tone off the right side of the piano.

Dimash - entertaining the dolphins. He has masters in both contemporary and classical music. He is pursuing his doctorate, I believe in music composition. He just created a master work he's been working on for three years and will be released at the end of this month. You guys have to search out his quick trip to Las Vegas to sing the Kasachstan national anthem for the boxing match his famous boxer friend is fighting in. At LA airport a young 10 year old autistic boy jumped into his arms and hugged him. His Mom explained he had been having speech problems, but when he discovered Dimash he started singing along with him. And the music helped to calm him down. Dimash was so sweet with him, swinging him around in a hug, took pictures and said he wanted to give the boy a gift but didn't have anything. So he took off his (probably very expensive) suit jacket and gave it to the boy. I'm sure that was the highlight of that boy's life.

Funny story: He wasn't getting ready for that note at all. If you back up the video to right before he hit that note, you will see that he tried to sing using the same mic trick that he did before (moving it back and forth) but nothing came out. He later said that his voice didn't come out at that moment and he improvised with the D 8. Hell of a spur of the moment improvisation. He does a similar note in "Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance" , which is an incredible duet with a famous male Chinese opera singer (highly recommend).

Wonderful Reaction!!! This "Gakku" festival took place in September 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is said that the city center was paralyzed on the day of the concert. More than 150,000 spectators gathered in the central square of the city. Many came then only because of Dimash. Dimash performed at the end of the concert and sang 5 songs. It was evident that Dimash was relaxed on stage because the competition in China was behind him. The festival is not a competition - the proceeds were donated to local hospitals.

The Guinness world record highest note by a human is only a couple of notes higher (F#8 I believe) and that was achieved by someone sitting in front of a microphone forcing out squeaks that had to be electronically measured to verify. While Dimash here does a clear, sustained, D8, with vibrato, on his knees, mid song and then continued on like it was nothing. 😮. As others have said, a D8 is off the piano.

The first song I heard from Dimash was "Unforgettable Day" from the Gakku concert. Someone added the link to a comment of a blog that discussed animal sounds including dolphins. One song from Dimash is all it takes. He has indeed fans all around the world! I wrote in a comment that I will fly 8000 kms to attend his concert in Almaty (next Friday, a woman replied that she will flight 160000 kms to see him !!! His father told that 15 min after they launched the sale of tickets, 38 nationalities had booked a place for the concert... Beyond his insane voice and talent, Dimash is a universal human being: his message, through his songs and through his behavior, transcend boundaries. This is why the language of the song does not matter: I can be totally moved by a song even if I don't understand one single word. His stage presence always perfectly conveys the message and the emotions. Nobody else can do what he does, he is definitively the next level. I really hope that one day you will see him live: believe me, this is a life experience.

There are a lot of great unforgettable day versions but only this one has the D8 in it. My currend favorit is the one from Düsseldorf last Spring. There at the end of the song he used the Dears as a choir and sang a solo over their singing. It s a display of the mutual trust between him and his Dears.

Thats his highest note sung D8. It's off the piano. His sung range as 2022 is G0-D8 7.7 octaves. He has his PhD in music specilizing in vocals. Really interesting thing, whistle notes aren't known to be connected but his was connected and had vibrato at that extremely high pitch.

DIMASH just got an award from the Pope. This weekend he is in VEGAS to sing the Kazakh anthem before a big fight. And he is returning to Amaty 9/24? for a concert where this rendition of Unforgettable Day took place in 2017. The big news is the 12 min uber$$$$$ vid about to be released 9/23??. Or end of month. DIMASH has been working on this project for 3 years. It is a good thing for him to find something to do because he needs to cure his laziness and get motivated to find a job.😶 hahaha 😆! There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. Incidentally, Dimash himself said that this was not actually intended. He probably wanted to sing his "normal" G#7, but when he did, no sound came out of his throat. When he started again, the C8 came and then the D8. A 5 second accident with vibrato 😂. Only Dimash can do this. And then he continues as nothing has happened. Some joke that he actually sang the note before, but realized that we earthlings can't hear notes that high, so he "only" sang the D8. By the way, he used to shake the microphone a lot at first because there were a lot of bad voices, he wouldn't sing live. And you can't fake that. I love your reactions a lot❤️👍
