I love how you 'get' the fact that he just decided to have fun with a song instead of doing all serious ones. I think, being so young still, he wanted to play a bit and it shows in the amount of fun he's having on stage. I don't think he even took the competion into consideration for this one. imho this one was purely for Dimash. He blew my socks off at the rapid English. That was my biggest worry about this song. People tend to expect Dimash to outshine himself every time he performs, but I figure he decided to just kick back with this one. Love how you're enjoying it. Have you ever seen Dimash smile so much? This theme, and its way of interpreting it is not accidental. Dimash tries to prove and gets it, that he can sing well, with technique and any kind of music is good. Musical styles are not better or better, they are different. I get very upset when classical music is called "cultured", why, then, what other things do you miss? Dimash applies the same notes and ranks to a different music and that is extraordinary, not as possible, if not as teaching the skeptics. From Spain, greetings.

Two thumbs up! This one caught me a bit off guard the first time I saw it. It seemed so different from what we had seen the previous weeks in the competition.....but now that I've seen more of Dimash, it is obvious he is sort of fearless about taking his personal style into various genres and "mixing it up". He is still best doing the dramatic, heart wrenching ballads and stories type songs, but when he does these other genres and has so much fun doing them, you can't help but get drawn in like you point out!
