Have seen a couple of interviews with Dimash and I am so impressed by his maturity at such a young age. The boy has values, treats his family, friends and his funs with great respect and it's pretty clear the stardom does not change that. @@JDubReacts Too many Russian-speaking people know what war is. Even if we didn't see it with our own eyes. Dimash was also brought up in contact with the Russian-speaking culture. Watch the movie "Come And See" and you will understand how we think about the war. There are no such films in the West. This movie is watched once in a lifetime. I'm so glad you are doing this song! I especially love the music of this piece written by Dimash himself. He really shows off his composition degree from college! This is on his ID album (which went platinum in 37 seconds) and is sung in Chinese. Keep up the good work.

Only thing I've accomplished in 37 seconds is tripping up my stairs lol. That is awesome all the way around. Gonna have to reassess how I think of composing. And seriously wishing I had followed through with going to music school. Auditioned, found the funding, got accepted....then backed out for some reason lost on me nearly 20+ years later. And that was a two-day, 8-part audition...welp, can't change that now. But Dimash really is a source for inspiration regardless of one's musical ambitions 😊.

Thank you for a great reaction and insights! This is one of my all time favorites. A remarkable song, just a masterpiece. Dimash composed this song for his master thesis when he was working in China. He hired a Chinese poet to write the lyrics in Chinese according to his ideas. (So, initially the message/words are from him, too). 'War and Peace' was first performed in his Changsha concert in China December 2017. There Dimash introduced this song, and told that he wrote it as a wish for no more wars and children's tears. He performed the song 3 times in China. And then, not anymore. (He explained that it wasn't ready yet, he had to work with it). Still, Dears constantly sent their wishes to Dimash and his father, to hear this song at concert...and eventually, Dimash sang this at his Arnau tour concerts in spring 2020. There is a video of his last Arnau Kiev concert including this song. Incredibly beautiful vocals and the stage is awesome. The separate video with subs is on channel "Kol Gerrard", I warmly recommend to watch it. P. S. Dimash always introduces this song before singing it and tells his views about importance of peace (the only song he really takes time to introduce). Dimash has told many times, that peace is one of his main goals to make music - that it's not about music only.

FYI, I just listened to a Russian (ДИМАШ ЧУЖЕСТРАНЕЦ | DIMASH STRANGER ANALYSIS) who brilliantly analyzed and relates the latest songs of Dimash all with English CC, Strangers, Fly Away, and Ave Maria. If he is correct this will show just how technically brilliant Dimash and Igor are. Stranger translates to Traveler he says it points to birth (reincarnation), Fly Away relates to the walk through life, and Ave Maria relates to entering into Heaven after death, that is why the color of his suit, going from darkness into light is significant. This gentleman is worth listening to.

This is one of my absolute favorites of his. I love every single element of this song. To me, it's his most intense and personal performance, and it breaks my heart every single time. It's also his own composition, and he had a Chinese poet write the lyrics. There are a couple of in-person concert versions of it on KZbin with subtitles. They're worth looking for and watching.

It has become a favorite for me also. But subtitles are important to know the meaning of the song; it reads like a poem from literature, with words that touch your soul when you think about them. This was a well-done reaction, plus a technical analysis of Dimash's own composition. You were right on in hearing the contrast as well as the darkness between his vocals and the music. When you see the lyrics, you will see how right you were. When I heard the song debut in a video from his concert in China a few years ago, Dimash's great potential as a composer was a revelation to me. He'd composed a few pieces when he was much younger, but nothing like this. It's wonderful and unique, just like Dimash. Now that you've mentioned TSO -- yes!

This mv is such a stronger, just so powerful & more representative of the loss due to war but also the gains for peace. Look for his posted mv on his youtube channel. The original version had eng subs or go to your browser, type in Dimash War & Peace with eng subs. It should be there. I've had his original mv on my playlist for 2 or so yrs.. But this one is there too. Love it, the message is in our face, if only the higher ups around the world would take notice but war is profitable so they (?) say 😢

La compuso cuando era mas joven , pero supo darle a su creacion la fuerza necesaria para trascender con su poderoso mensaje a favor de la paz. La cancion es bella y desgarradora . Como tu dices plantea los contrastes que, llevados a los extremos, provocan los conflictosy las guerras entre los hombres.La musica y las letras de las canciones de Dimash siempre encierran mensajes profundos que nos conmueven y nos hacen pensarGracias por tu reaccion¡¡¡¡ Nos pides sugerenias para tus proximos trabajos.Hay un terreno de la produccion de DIMASH que me parece que aun no exploraste : es el de las canciones kazajas inspiradas en la historia y la cultura de su pais que el tanto ama y venera. Son muchas, pero para empezar te recomiendo tres que presento en su concierto digital del 16- 01- 2021 :KIELI MEKEN, poderosa fusion de folk y rock ´, QARAGYM AI , la mas bella y triste cancion de amor que pueda existir y MAKHABAT BER MAGAM, tan emblematica como DAIDIDAU. La cuarta . seria SAMAL TAU , composicion muy amada por DIMASH.La version mas actual fue presentada por DIMASH este año en TURKMENISTAN, en los actos culturales organizados durante la la Cumbre de Jefes de Estados de Asia Central , 06-08-21. Si no la consigues, es muy bella su performance en el6·, Festival de Cine de la Ruta de la Seda, { creo q 2019}Mucho cariño desde ARGENTINA ¡¡¡¡¡¡

Absolutely stunning song with fabulous lyrics. The English translation (once the Dears add the subtitles) won't be as poetic as the Chinese language but they are still so meaningful. I'm hoping the subs will be added soon. The Moscow D-Dynasty concert and the Arnau Kiev concert are on Dimash's channel where he also performed this song and have the subtitles. All performances of this song are great but the Dimash Digital Show is a magnificent great work of art produced for the Dears who missed him terribly during the quarantine. I notice the three Arnau concerts reinstated for April 2022 in Belarus, Germany and Check Republic are close to being sold out again (especially since all the Dears with tickets did not return them just waited for the concerts to be rescheduled). Ah well, we can hope he does make it to the US in another year or so. Going to his concert is on my bucket list. He's currently committed to appearances in China for the rest of this year.

Remember the English subtitles can be found on Gloria Wu’s channel. He performed this song at his very first live concert in Bastau in 2019. Really interesting.
