Peace This song speaks about duality in every human being but it is in us to try to balance the good and evil, always put the love and respect above all. Dimash said once it is sad to see how children suffer due to the mistaken decisions of adults, that’s true. Dimash knows this very well because his own country has been through difficult times and that definitely left a mark inside of him. Dimash sang this song in Kiev and Russia on 2020. Great composition! Using a rather quiet and vulnerable voice at the beginning while having a blast of well chosen instruments ("war drums", dark sounding cellos and e-guitars?), going forward to get louder with his voice and then "overthrowing" the "war sounds" is just genius by Dimash. I'm baffled that this young man can not only sing like he does, he also understood how to compose given the context. Brilliant, just brilliant!

Dimash wrote this song War and Peace in 2017, while he was still in school. Dimash worked with a Chinese lyricist to translate lyrics (War and World / Peace and War) to Chinese. Dimash first performed this at his D-Dynasty Concerts in China in 2017 and 2018 (Changsha & Fuzhou). Dimash has performed this song at most of his Live concerts, including this On-Line Digital Concert.

This is my favorite video. I don’t know why but I just love it! This was written long before the war between Russia and Ukraine! It was written long before then. I found Dimash in 2019 and War and Peace had already been written. I just love this! This was live for his fans, this has been the only concert I’ve seen live. Dimash did this for his “Dears” because we were all over the world stuck at home because of COVID. I’m sure Dimash was going crazy because he had to cancel concerts and return home after doing just a couple of the concerts he had planned! This was Digital and we paid for tickets to watch it. Of course the whole concert is online, now. 😊

Lucas, you are right. Dimash openly opposes the war. at his concerts in April, before this song, he spoke heated speeches about the world, scolded politicians. he wrote this song a long time ago, but now he includes it in concert programs, because he is against the war in Ukraine. because of this position, some contracts in Russia, performances, and the premiere of the song fell through. but even this Dimash sacrificed, he cannot remain silent about the horror of war.

I’m glad you are back!!! I just attended his concert in Düsseldorf on April 9. What an amazing 3 hrs. + time with him. He did 24 songs. War and Peace was one of them. I can’t wait for him to do a show in the States. Next Saturday, he will do his concert in Prague. Take care. ❤️🕊

Dimash has a Gorgeous voice for sure!! Should you want to go down another rabbit hole, I proffer you, Dirty Loops from Sweden. A trio who’s talent will engage you! They are a pop/funk/jazz trio who will leave you breathless but appreciative of their huge talent. Lately they have two LP releases. One as a trio called Phoenix and another featuring Cory Wong and his horn section called Turbo. Hard to pick which to recommend but I think, Work Shit Out will grab you for the trio and the cover of MJ’s Thriller for the Cory Wong and brass.❤️🇨🇦

Dimash wrote this song several years ago and performed it fir the first time in 2018 in a concert in China. Dimash is always speaks in his concerts about peace and unity. Before performing this song in Dubai this year he gave very emotional speech. He also gave similar speech in his concerts in Russia and Ukraine in 2020.

I always love it when you watch and react to Dimash! Thank you! This song is so heart-piercing, Dimash sang it live on his Digital Show last year when again his live concerts had to be postponed. The song is much older than the current problems in Kazakhstan or Russia/Ukraine, but of course and sadly its theme and statements are always all too current. And Dimash clearly shows his attitude to it, he is brave and very clever in everything he does and says. The way he delivers the song here is so incredible, it is more screaming, fighting, asking, begging - and yes, he puts all in. Pure desperation. He is completely authentic in what he does on stage and embodies the brokenness, the polarity that is in the lyrics of the song. Dimash is unmatched. ... Hope for more Dimash, Lukas, thank you!

Regarding reactions getting blocked, people have either blurred or put a screen over the performance to not get their content blocked. It seems to work well for most. This performance was from a 90-minute digital show/concert streamed on Jan 31, 2021. According to Dimash's website, an international team of 140 of the world's top talents in the industry worked on organizing and producing the online concert, integrating modern television and virtual technologies. The result was awe-inspiring. This wasn't a live online concert in the true sense of the word, but rather a sequence of performances with visual effects recorded over the space of a day and night.
