in 1983 I experienced my first taste of Sokolatina on the islands. Went back 20+ years later to find that no one knew what I was on about. Very sad day. Now in 2024 I found the recipe. Thank you ♥

Hello, thank you for the wonderful recipe! I'm genuinely curious tho--can I bake a completely sugarless cake and only rely on the sugar from the cream, ganache, and syrup to make it sweet?

1 US cup of water is equal to 240 mL or 240 grams. Exact is 236.58 which is rounded to 240.

Do you think 2 teaspoons of baking soda is too much? Because baking soda tends to impart flavour on the cake batter, and it’s nasty.
@DimitrasDishes2 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean. I hate it when cakes have that bitter bite ti them from the soda but this recipe makes a big batch so the measurement works perfectly. This is the chocolate cake recipe that I used in my bakery for 10 years. Not a single complaint :) Give it a try and let me know what you think.
