It's because of their symbolism and some of their lyrics tho they are not as dark as behemoth or gorgoroth or ghost bc, they still lean heavily in a satanic way instead of a norse pagan way.

Everything about this song and video is excellent! Dimmu Borgir is so refreshing. They take their own sound and don't worry about this whole black metal "we are so against selling out and 'the norm' that we are all the same" crap. Well done!

It’s not a coincidence this song was their lead off single. It’s a great song. And it just goes to show that they can go not as heavy and still make just as good music. Appreciate it for what it is
@tubesurfer0076 жыл бұрын
Dimmu has always been symphonic. Some of these comments are like, where's the shouting ans random grunts. That's not music, what I just heard is music. They've written some of the most genius melodic sounds ever. Listen to the piano versions and you'll see how amazing the craft of their sounds are.

With one of you guys I had some Jupiler on a camping-site in the Schwarzwald! Back in the late 90s. Thanks for that! 👍🏻 There were also some very nice Belgium guys around. Love your music and this is one of my best childhood-memories of me... Greetings from Germany!
@elpvtasdeaguadas7 жыл бұрын
I've been following these guys since Deathcult Armageddon, I also have alll their albums since Inn Evighetens Morket and even some splits, althougth this is not their regular sound, it's a very catchy song with a nice rhythm and cool atmosphere, I mean, it's not the same as previous works like In Sorte Diaboli, but this isn't a band prone to get stuck in the same sound album after album, they're always changing their musical ideas and for that I praise them Keep the good work Dimmu! awesome song! I'm eager for the new album

I bought this CD and I love it. I will always enjoy having the CD and the inserts. I hope they never go away, at least in my lifetime but it's not looking good for Metal Fans in the states where everyone has lost their freaking minds.
@chipmunkjohn6 жыл бұрын
It's a soft track but it's so good. They even said this would be one of the more melodic focused tracks, and the rest of the album would be heavier. Also, to anybody disappointed, I would urge you to check out the lyrics and think about them in conjunction with the epic melody, then you'll see how powerful this song is: To the trained eye There are no coincidences The more you see The less it makes sense To the trained eye There are no coincidences If you can not see You can not truly know

The dimmu borgir has always been symphonic, that's fact! Who wants to hear a Black / Death metal full of "Blast beats" and howls, then listen to Behemoth. Really this song by Dimmu Borgir standards is not bad, but it should be the lightest and softest song on the album. Let's wait for the rest. Save from Brazil.

Dimmu Borgir’s music is so different! I’ve listened to Ghost, Avatar, Mayhem, etc. But Dimmu stands out, they have so many theatrical opera type elements to their music, they do not sound like a traditional black metal band like Mayhem or Darkthrone. They are a interesting enigma in of themselves honestly!
@darkwhite13676 жыл бұрын

It’s okay, though I hope this is the “softest” track of the upcoming album. I read an interview in which they said that the new album will be more “black metal” than the last few albums....this is not an example of that.....
@dagonzalez17577 жыл бұрын
Eddy Reuneker they also said the single represents the more melodic side of the album, so we should wait and see
