I love Din Tai Fung and am so lucky there are multiple ones near where I am in LA (I even grew up only a few minutes from their first US location). The Chocolate XLB are so good, but use mochi to make the wrapper, not the typical pork XLB wrapper. Some other favs from there: fried rice (so fresh and light), sticky rice shao mai (with pork bits and so yummy and chewy), spare ribs (mini bites), veggies (somehow they perfectly cook the green beans and broccoli - like I've never had it perfectly cooked but also soft and then the garlic flavor is amazing). We often get DTF for take-out when hosting people at our place, which makes it easier than waiting in line!

When I lived in LA county, I’d visit the Glendale location all the time. THE absolute best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Even beats the high end steak houses in my opinion.

you should go to the one in Santa Anita mall location. From what I've heard, they are the leading location so they have stricter rules, earlier access to new stuffs, and higher standard.

Been to the one in Vegas several times. Really like Din Tai Fung. There are better soup dumplings out there to be had though. There are several places in Houston alone that have better ones, so check your local places if you have a significant Chinese community in your area.

Awesome review! Your rating pretty much jives with the other Din Tai Fungs that I have tried. There actually are other places with better XLB, (like in Beijing/Shanghai/Taipei) but not too many (and extremely few in the US). The other things good are: Pork Fried Rice (yeah, really basic, but really good), Long string beans. I know that this DTF doesn't do take out yet, but several of the others in socal do.

I got excited by your title! I didn't even hear that Disneyland had a new restaurant, other than River Belle Terrace, and we go to the park a few times per year. I'm trying to figure out where this is, but I don't recognize anywhere in the park that looks like that. I'm not seeing it on the app for reservations--just Orleans, Blue Bayou, River Belle... the usual suspects. For a second, it looked like you were just behind the D-land hotel, but that's not Disneyland--like your title says--so that can't he right. I'm confused. I wish you'd said where this is.

Ding Tai Fung is located at Downtown Disney across from The Star Trader.

Oh. Not Disneyland. That explains the confusion, thanks. We don't go to Downtown Disney because the prices are a ripoff and the businesses don't accept American currency, only credit cards. I hate misleading, clickbait titles... grrrrr.
