This stuff works great for those that suffer lasting respiratory problems from covid. It is actually healing my brother in laws lungs. He was not expected to live and was sent home with oxygen machines. He is now able to spend more and more time off the oxygen machine. I’m believing in a complete healing from the infused Mullein tea I have been making for him.

This is so interesting. I have been diagnosed with “nodules” on my lungs since having a very bad Covid illness. I want to try Mullein tea to see if it helps. I have Verbascum growing in my garden in the UK but the flowers are pink, purple etc., not yellow. I assume that I shouldn’t use these leaves. Pleased to hear your brother-in-law is improving.

Please consider revisiting your videos and adding to them! Making another video with “ oh yeahs…” and Placing them in ”play lists all under the title “ Mullein”, I wondered more about things you did not touch on! What about the plant roots? The seeds? The stock? I heard they can be used as torches at night against mosque? Yes or no? Thank you. I learned from these videos about drying and or absorption of moisture while trying to dry them, great idea to test on skin for irritation! Great job! 😊

To your questions: I don't use the seeds or roots, so can't comment from experience. I have been at events where the spent flower stalk was used as a torch, but it was first dipped in some kind of fat (don't recall which kind) and also remember it being smoky and unpleasant to be near. Be well!

@Dina Falconi luckily, even if confused, there's no danger, in terms of toxins, etc. I truly believe that without mullein, early indigenous peoples here in North America wouldn't have been near as successful in these environments, it just serves so many purposes.

It looks quite similar to foxglove, at least to my novice eye. I most likely wouldn’t mistake for lambs ear but for foxglove in particular the distinction is important. Hence my deep dive as I came across the two plants side by side this weekend.

Thank you for this! This is the best comparison I've seen! I have a ton of mullein in front of my house and I love the plant. But there are a few fuzzy leaf plants poking between my landscaping stones that I wasn't able to identify. They have survived all winter long. This helped me to confirm that they are all mullien because the leaves range from 4 inches to 2 feet. I didn't know they only flower once. It makes me appreciate their blooming period more.

Thank you for the info on drying it, I have to wait awhile for mine to dry in a paper bag because I lack a dehydrator to dry or cure right away. Thank you for this information. Do you wait for all the flowers to bloom to use or do you use them before they bloom too? Otherwise I may be waiting awhile. Haha. If I'm making an oil with the blooms, can I use them before all of them bloom? And can one use the whole stalk with flowers to make oil? Thank you. Much love to you.💚💜✌🤟🥰♋

Thank you for this! Was hoping to hear a definitive distinction there at the end when you were showing the height of the stalks; At what size can you be comfortable saying it is NOT lamb's ear? I didn't catch what the max size of lamb's ear typically is. Thank you again!
@DinaFalconi
@DinaFalconi 3 жыл бұрын
Lamb's ear is quite small. Here in NY its flowering stalk reaches 12" or less, but I hear that it can grow to 24" tall. Where as mullein flowering stalks (unless) stunted) typically grow 5 ft or taller, ranging from 2-8 feet. Please make sure to use all the other id clues too when identifying these plants: leaf arrangement, smell, stalk shape, etc...

Hello Wm, glad to know the mullein is helping. Please note that I am not able to give specific medical advice. Still, generally speaking, one could use mullein long term. Dose depends on weight and other co-factors, but general dosage is 30-50 drops 1-3x a day. Again, this is generic info, and best to work with an herbalist in person to best serve your needs.
