I've also tried another email but for some reason the template won't send to my email inbox. Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos - they are super helpful! I started making Canva templates and this is probably a stupid question.. but you need Canva pro to make templates, but if you use canva pro items like fonts etc, the customer needs Canva pro to access them? Is this correct? Do you not use any pro features when creating your templates so the customer can use a free account? Thank you again :)

Yup customer needs to pay for Canva Pro or the elements individually! I don't use any canva pro elements

I had a question. I got a couple sales on etsy for my digital downloads, after the purchase the customer emailed me to give them access to edit my design? Is there a way to have this automatically enabled on canva so I don't need to give them persmisson once they download the pdf with the link to my design?

You need to give them the template link! (Don't click "copy link" because it gives them the original template. You need to click template link so they can make a copy of it.)

I'm not sure I understand your question. The PDF I create has the LINK to the editable canva template. Customers don't edit the PDF

I save it as a PNG and put the picture of the template in the listing photos. Technically someone could copy the template if they design it from scratch

I've noticed that when I visit the link onto canva that customers have purchased it will pop up as though someone is currently editing instead of a blank copy for them to fill.. Is there a way to ensure when future people visit it it is locked to only show the original shared copy?

When you share the template link, people can create a copy of your document in their own canva account, so no, they won't see anything else other than your name

You can only upload a file to etsy. So if you want to include a link, you have to put the link in a PDF document and attach the PDF to the Etsy listing.

Do I keep "only you can access" when I make link or :allow access for all" asking because I tested it out and the "customer" had to request access. This is the part that's tripping me up.

Click the TEMPLATE LINK (it's a smaller button) not the big COPY LINK button!!

@@KaleeDreams those two things don't apply to the template link. Try copying the template link, opening up an incognito browser, and see if it's asking you to make a copy.

Nope, no problems!

Nope! You use the TEMPLATE LINK (not the collaboration link), which means that each customer has their own copy. It's basically like them making a new copy of the template on their own Canva account. The original template never gets edited by customers. The template link is a separate button after you click SHARE. Don't click the big purple "copy link" that's under "collaboration link." Click the "template link"!

Hi Dina - sorry if I missed this but what size do you make your thumbnail photo in order to have it look ok across the most platforms? I know etsy changed to square officially but alot of people say they fit content into the middle with 4:3 aspect ratio. Do you have a preference?

Sorry I missed your question! Yes I use 4:3 aspect ratio! 2700px by 2025. And I make sure the important things would fit if Etsy crops my 4:3 photos to a square.

Not sure if I fully understand your question... If you'll make a slight variation of that template and create a new listing for that variation, you can duplicate the original template so you can make the changes and then get a new template link

The marketing photos shouldn't have any links to the templates or else everybody can access the templates. You make the PDF for the customer only and attach it to the listing so that when the customer purchases the listing, they get the PDF and can click the template links.

Hmm if you're using the "template link" after clicking the "share" button, then that shouldn't be happening. I would triple check the link, and see if you accidentally linked the wrong link in the actual hyperlink.

I THINK if you make a change, and people "make a copy" of the template, they can see the change. But if they have made a copy of the template before you made the change, then I think they keep the old version
