Update: Sorry about all the blurring in the 2nd half. It's against their policies to be showing analytics. TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS 👉have you considered trying out the Amazon Influencer Program??

The transparency in sharing your results is super helpful, especially for those of us considering the Amazon Influencer Program. I was hesitant at first, but after seeing your experience, I think it’s worth giving a shot. The beginner tips you added are golden!

I'm really happy to see your channel taking off and being able to maintain that growth for almost 2 years. You try new things and some might not work out as expected still gives insights for others. Being an entrepreneur comes with uncertainty in life path and outcome and no one knows where it takes you than a certain pay cheque with a job.

I was weighing whether to start Amazon Influencer Program until I watched your video and realized the geographical limitations and challenges. It's too much work. And hey, I'm a minimalist myself. I don't shop much and it's going to be hard to review many stuff on Amazon. You've saved me so much time. Thanks Dina!

Thanks Kenny! And glad to hear that this video helped you. Yeah, I didn't realize these challenges until I started actually working on it. I think the program could be really good for some people, but not minimalists who don't like to buy a lot of things 😂

Also in Canada 🇨🇦. When I decided to stopped contributing to consumerism on my main channel, I also stopped making money 😂. If people don’t buy from you, they buy elsewhere. However, I can’t imagine filming a huge amount of content to make just a bit commission. With the influencer program, even if the videos are simple and there’s a lot of competition. I’ve been an associate and haven’t made much, albeit you have to push products to make money either way. If there’s any time to try, this quarter of the year is when their sales are highest.
@DinaLu3 ай бұрын
Yeah that's true if they don't buy from you, they buy elsewhere. But I still don't want to add to it haha. Wishing you the best on your content creation journey!

I thought about becoming an Amazon influencer a week or two ago and I have watched a number of videos about it but I don't have a social media following so I am going to pass on doing it. However, I earn commissions as an Amazon associate through my blog. But, it is not a huge amount each month so far. Blogging takes a lot of work, plus you have to be able to drive traffic to your blog in order to get people to click on your Amazon links.

Another thing about this, people that make more money most likely invest in ads. A simple uploading a video will not do it. If you really want it you have to invest in ads.

I can definitely see someone doing this full time and make a living off this. Just got to put in the work!
@DinaLu4 ай бұрын
Yes I think it could work, but also you'd have to make a lot of videos haha. And I'm not sure about relying on Amazon for full-time income, I'd want to diversify my income in some way too.
@RyansReviewHowTo3 ай бұрын
@@LaosHouse for sure. If you have a few part time things and decided on this it would work. But it’s a job not just passive income. You’d need to film everything you’ve purchased in your home and then go to family and friends to film their products. Filming and editing isn’t bad. Once you get it down you can do about 10 minutes a video. But to make real money you’d need several hundred videos.

Thanks for sharing! As a Canadian, I tried this for about 6 months and decided it was not worth the effort at allll lol. The U.S. fashion and beauty girlies are KILLING it (I know this from when I used to work in influencer marketing in corporate) but the rest of us? Nah 😅

I've just hit 100 videos, which is a lot right? And I'm probably making around $50 a month. Some days it's 0. I don't think it's a great time investment, but if you have expensive items laying around the house it's more worth it over the cheaper items... and for me, being self employed, I just film a few videos here and there - but don't go into it expecting to earn $1,000s!
@DinaLuАй бұрын
Yeah I can see it being really hard and time-consuming! But yeah I think reviewing more expensive items is the way to go, more reward to effort

Yes I still want to try this aswell. Still I find to hard to know the specific requirements the social media accounts needs to have. You need engagement, you need followers and subscribers, you need views. But the stories I read, and hear all are very different on when they got approved. And on Amazon's site I do not get a clear answer eigther. My question, can anyone help me in the right direction. How do I get approved by Amazone?
@Marcelina-villa35 күн бұрын
I can tell you my experience with it so far. I was approved back in late October 2024 so I am still pretty new to it. I was approved with my TT account but at the time I had less than 1k followers. Once approved I linked my other social media accounts like YT and IG. I have really one seen results with the onsite commissions from the videos on product pages or the Inspire tab but that’s because I don’t really have a big IG following and never posted my Amazon links to my TT. Hope this helps 😊

Do they send you the products? I didn't see this answered
@DinaLu17 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. Typically when you start, you need to buy the products yourself. Once you have a lot of videos, companies will start to reach out to you and want to give you product to review.

The items people buy are lower end. I buy computer components and other high end items so if affiliate, then 0.5-2% can add up. It depends on intent and people come here more for information than shopping purposes. The other is that there are cashback, airmiles and other sites so people may have looked at your items but clicked through these portals which pay up to 50% of this commission back to us. There is nothing wrong with your actual content in the influencer program but competing factors.

I was told that it's the high ticket items that make the big bucks for a person, not the amount of videos.
@DinaLu3 ай бұрын
Yeah I think that reviewing high ticket items (like tech equipment) is a really good strategy, but I also think that making a ton of videos works too. I'd love to do less videos but more high ticket items, but unfortunately, I don't really use high ticket items THAT much and I don't want to buy them either.
@theveronicahall3 ай бұрын
@@DinaLu I get what you’re saying. I’ve benefited from reviewing higher ticket items of friends & family and giving them a cut (most won’t accept it). That way I don’t have to purchase them myself.

You don't want to contribute to consumerism as you sit there with a monitor, laptop, chair, shirt and obviously camera equipment. Your generation is simply mad and twisted. It was ok if YOU purchase it but when other people to do it's not encouraged. The double standard is RICH. I love it because believe it not it does entertain me.
