Okay, just a couple of thoughts I had. Kids love search and find books. If Tam Tam is good at finding things maybe there could be hidden images in the illustrations for his book. Second thought. Could he be a friend of Riid? They seem like they could live in the same world.

Every artist doesn’t like what they do sometimes. I can understand people not liking negativity but that’s the life of an artist. We are always wanting to grow and become better and we don’t always get that out of our work and it’s sometimes disappointing and discouraging. Now if you’re doing it all the time that’s different but if you’re just upset occasionally because of *insert what the issue is here* then you know, that’s okay. It’s just life. I much rather hear the rawness and truth about how someone feels because you know how they stand and you can relate to them better. Love your artwork Dina. 💖

1. You are absolutely not responsible for your viewers happiness, if you aren’t happy then talk about it, if people aren’t happy that what your saying is negative then it’s not your control, it’s your video. 2. TamTam is SO CUTE! I LOVE HIM! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM! 3. The scene and garden looks gorgeous and it’s very inspiring, it makes me want to practice mystical backgrounds and backgrounds in general. 4. Final note, your little doodles to go along with the sounds outside are so cute

This image is so magical and especially given what you've said about Tam-Tam being a pathfinder, I'm imaging them being lost in the woods and stumbling across this place then later hearing big clumsy greedy humans talking about a place that sounds exactly like the place they discovered and how it is merely legend coz no one can find it. Maybe the pool has healing or wish-granting powers. And basically Tam-Tam was the 'diamond in the rough'; moral enough to be destined to be the only one who can find the pool. Basically I'm super inspired right now

I'm glad that you do not take criticisms about your self-criticism (lol) for your work to heart. (wow, what a sentence). I agree with you. If it werent for an artist's dissatisfaction about their art, the artist would never try to improve. I think you set a good example for healthy self-criticism, because you teach through your art that it is Okay for an artist redraw a line, shade a little better, take a masterclass on painting, or just improve their overall skill level if they arent happy with the art they've made. Thank you for that powerful lesson about being our own toughest critic being our best tool if we do it constructively!

When I was younger we had an evaporative cooler AKA A Swamp cooler! It wasn’t the best thing but you could live with the heat. You are doing ok with the drawing in the heat by what I am seeing! In Germany the word Tamtam is used in a phrase. "Mach nicht so einen Tamtam", literally translated meaning "Don't make such a Tamtam". It has a negative connotation and Tamtam here means fuss as in "don't make such a fuss about ..." I personally really like it. The Tamtam is a symbolism of drums or loud noise/ a big event.

@Cloclo.darkarts5 жыл бұрын
It's really OK to have issues with a drawing and not wanting to finish it and start something new. Sometimes artists get tired of doing the same character again and again (like when you have a comic planned, or are working for a long time on the same thing), taking a break helps to relax and find new inspiration. If you push yourself to much because other people disapprove of you changing things, then you'll get a burnout or in the worst case lose you passion for drawing.... PS: Tam-Tam is also used in French and German for this drum sound xD

You can use fixative to set the graphite before painting but very lightly as to not affect the absorbency of the paper. Is there a particular reason you use graphite opposed to something like a Prismacolor pencil crayon? Graphite has the natural tendency to smudge or bleed when watercolour is place on it. Perhaps try blowing off excess graphite dust? Just some thoughts.
@the_monkies5 жыл бұрын
Are pencil crayons generally waterproof? I just started painting with watercolours and I'm trying to find different ways of doing outlines as I find pen & ink lines too sharp sometimes.
@SourEggz5 жыл бұрын
Maryam Kaka Unlike graphite pencils, pencil crayons are made with pigment and wax (or in some cases an oil), which makes them easier to paint over as they resist the watercolour to some degree and typically aren’t powdery or liftable. If you are nervous about pencil crayon being more difficult to remove simply invest in Col-erase (or comparable) Pencil Crayons which are erasable. Otherwise you can use graphite then use a kneadable eraser to remove the harshness leaving a ghost of your sketch on the paper. But with anything in art - just keep experimenting. I am by no means an expert but just give them a try if you’d like! Watercolours and pencil crayons go together like peanut butter and jelly!
