Diner (1982): Not A Great Debut For Paul Reiser

outside of Bacon, this movie was a who's who of actors and actresses I have always disliked. Reiser, Guttenberg, Barkin, Stern and Daly. A veritable C team of talent.

I don't mind any of the actors. They are all entertaining enough; the story was the unappealing thing for me.

@@KensReviews I try to give any actor the benefit of the doubt, but its an uncannily forgettable group. I felt your love for Barkin, and she can act, but while I can't tell you exactly why, I just don't like her. I mean, same with Stern, I would never say he or Barkin couldn't act, just that I've never seen them do a character I liked. Daly in Sopranos, thats literally it. Yeah, not a movie I had ever watched a second time, think I watched it somewhere in the nineties. Despite these things I was good with your review, and plan to check out others you've done, have not done so yet though.

@@KensReviews at first I wasn't sure as I scrolled your other vids......then I saw that you reviewed Nightwatch.......omg, and here I am the only person in my social group who's ever seen those films. Havent watched it yet, but bravo anyway, in advance.

See, I'm the opposite. I always enjoyed "C" list actors and look forward to finding films with them. I loved and defended Keanu and Brendon Fraser for years and people looked at me like I was crazy, look at them now

@@samuraicode4264 I loved Keanu for the films and my age, but he wasn't much of an actor. After his early blockbusters like Speed and Point Break, I think he started to get better. I think he became really great at knowing what he DIDN'T do well.
