i’m so happy to see that people are saying that lisa should have won, bc i’ve been rooting for her since episode one. she is probably the most talented mua that has been on glow up from any season. her makeup is so satisfying to look at, everything she has done was absolutely perfect. she definitely deserved to win, i immediately closed my laptop when they announced she didn’t win

ok here’s my take, yong chin is extremely talented but lisa deserved to win because she absolutely delivered in every single challenge, it made me so sad that the final decision was taken based on a technique for eye makeup, what a waste of talent, also i can’t believe kris made it that far because he kept giving really unpolished looks, they were good but considering the level of exigence in the competition at that point.. smh, rachel or nance deserved to be in the top 3

I would have being happy either Lisa or Young Chin winning. The thing i don’t understand is Kris in the finale. He’s not a good make up artist . Nance, Ryan, Rachel were way better . Definefly Lisa should have won. She smashed the entire competition. But i know She’s gonna be an amazing make up influencer 👏🏻🙌🏼

Kris is rly creative that’s why i let it pass.. but the stained glass look was very….. messy. Nance or rachel were better. Also i see very little ‘beauty’ look from him. Im pretty sure he’s better at glam rather than.. painting

Lisa is obviously the better makeup artist. Her work is more refined, she gives more attention to detail, her uses of colors is mind blowing. Unfortunately, the format of the show doesn’t allow her to win. In the final face off, it was obvious that Yong chin gave the better eye makeup. Don’t fault the judges, it’s the bad show format.

Ima blame the judges. There's soany instanced where they favor one contestant more than the other and let them get away with small messy details. But get on others asses about preciseability and creativity

My problem is that they don’t base their final decision off the overall performance throughout the competition & instead just one final challenge. Lisa had by far a better track record & objective skill with makeup, so it makes zero sense that she got 2nd place to Yong Chin

This was absolutely ridiculous! If you’re “only as good as your last look” why did Kris get sent home instead of Young-chin? That semifinals look Kris did was better than Young-chin’s look even though she performed better throughout competition. So they based his loss on all of his work as opposed to his final look which was one of his best. Yet, when Lisa and Young-chin get to the final face-off she takes the win over Lisa who outperformed her the entire competition! I just want these shows to be fair and the judges to judge with integrity.

The guest actually called it redundant because he felt like she told the same story three times, instead of viewing the entire art piece as one story with three elements. He totally-ass felt _nagged_ at having to look at a feminist installation done in three-part makeup on a face and decolletage. Like, seriously? Seriously? But yep. Thank god Val got it instantly and was completely moved by the power of the art and message. Because things that are deeply consequential to women are still annoying and filled with flaws for men who are hostile to our message. Misogyny exists, even with gay men in the makeup industry. "Shut up and be my canvas. Nobody cares what ya think, sis." Watching their response was infuriating.

Happy to see how many were disappointed in Lisa landing second place! Yong Chin had good moments, I liked her early works more than what was made in the end of the show. The masterclass task was also good despite her not being able to make the abstract eyeliner more defined. Lisa though was one of the only MUA who floored me multiple times. I really thought she would win. But besides her becoming second I was way more disappointed in Kris coming this far! While his ideas where big and fascinating the actual end product was so underwhelming. The only good one imo was the golden statue/tree one that depicted his roots. But everything else was rather mid … I liked Nance’s work more but due to the show’s criteria that didn’t count

I was rooting for Lisa, for obvious reasons her work at the end part sa phenomenal. And its infair when their challenged at the last part was based solely on the eye shadow make up. While i believe its a neck to neck but overall Lisa has created more quality Master piece and won several challenges. Disappointing not this season.

Each one of their “Remember Me” looks were some of their best looks period. Yong Chin’s artwork with the Scottish warrior was stunning, intricate, & powerful. Lisa’s color scheme & artwork mixed with her story behind it were absolutely flawless & BEAUTIFUL. Kris wasn’t a fave, but his look for being grounded was definitely his best all season, just the finesse the judges wanted him to have

i love both Lisa and Yong Chin! Equally happy if either of them won. Sooooo happy for Yong Chin though, well deserved!!! Though i still don't understand why Kris was in the top three. There were so many others who were better. Anyway, excellent season of Glow Up! Super enjoyed binging on this show

Lisa should have won. There was a favoritism with Yong-Chin. Yong-Chin is good at makeup, but Lisa was the best in almost all the challenges. Even Kris did a better job in the last challenge than Yong. It's really unfair 😒

i just finished it and i am shocked is an understatement to find Lisa in 2nd place..i mean the winner did good but if you take it as the whole from beginning to end its lisa no doubt like lisa is never in a face off elimination and always a ding dong and her worse when she has the red chair she beat the chair in ding dong like wth i dont get it🙄

I loved this final because I love both finalists so much! However I would have been a little happier if Lisa had won. 🥲 I think she was a little more consistent, Yong-Chin's level went a bit down in the middle of the season. Moreover, it is incredible how talented Lisa is considering that she was a teacher (!!!) and not a make-up artist prior to this show. I had to admit that the final look in the face-off of Yong-Chin was definitely a little bit better. I hope that Lisa will have a brilliant carreer 🥰 good luck to both!
