Penultimate journey of this seemingly endless series as more choppy water is faced mid channel, the early leave on mid-tide back in EP11 now makes sense as even now I only just get below the Charleton Bridge as the spring tide rises quickly (potentially cutting off the route below the Bridge). This is the ONLY bridge (A379 )which crosses the Salcombe/Kingsbridge tidal estuary complex. Respite is reached in the sheltered Bowcombe Creek.
