I once paddled my rubber dinghy from Newquay harbour to fistral beach 49 yrs ago and half way over it deflated to such an extent I had to swim for it. Watching this has reminded me and had me questioning what’s your strategy. I was with two friends who were paddling their boards thank god

Went on a steam boat a few weeks ago her was shocked at speed of tide. How do you fare with the dinghy. Obs well to sides, very beautiful area indeed. Was asr Toni shed that the public toilets in Dartmouth were shitty plastic festival types that were filthy. Council come on

Serenity itself. Braver than me in that dinghy😂. Prefer fibreglass. My friend has rigged an electric outboard to his canoe. Him and wife travel the canals

I can’t stop thinking of all those sea creatures you killed walking on them and the habitat you destroyed just to make a video about crossing a small stretch of water for what I can tell was for no apparent reason 👎🤷🏼♂️🤦♀️

Went sailing off st just 2 yrs ago, tiny marina. As we launched we saw a “fin” on top of the water which when the tides out is pebble hard standing but tidal almost in middle of estuary. When we got back a 2 yr old ranger over was recovered with seaweed and looking very sorry for itself. The owner was laughing with anxiety. Sounded rich though so sold on to some unsuspecting person and replaced no doubt.

That was quite wonderful. Is it feasible to paddle over there in a kayak, explore the island and get back before the tide carries you off to France? Are you allowed to fly drones there?
@sandpit722 күн бұрын
You can go around the low water mark but not onto the Island.

Fun video, putting yourself out there agains the elements. But wouldn't you prefer a kayak? They make quite good inflatable ones.

I bag this up and shift it around on public transport.
@Alseki12 күн бұрын
@@sandpit72 I use a Gumotex Safari 330 inflatable kayak on river and coast. If its within price range and seems like something you would use then I would recommend it [and it is man portable inc public transport]. {Intex Challenger is the budget option which isn't bad also}

I was never a fan of 60s concrete development. It never looked nice , and had a very short lifespan. A lot of UK Citys suffered badly as a result of 60s re development

Just for anyone else watching this, the Salt Stone is a conservation area and it's highly recommended that no one sets foot on it as it's highly susceptible to trampling and disturbance. There's no risk of a fine or anything but plenty of people seem unaware of the designation. I don't think the upper shore line where you were is a key area but the lower shore areas should definitely be avoided.
