Hi Mate,Yep like your vids. This one is really good and for someone just starting the game it offers everything,how to address the board,stay relaxed,practise for grouping bull, 20`s,19`s,18`s & 17`s. If they can spare 30mins a day ,this is a perfect little practise session. Good stuff.

thanks for the great comment and yes I believe getting the basics right is the key to playing to a high standard darts is just like many sports and games playing is easy mastering is very very difficult. it took a total re assessment of my game some years ago that took two years to complete but the pay back was going from a 34-40 average to today around 100. cheers Dynamite Dave.

David I really appreciate the video's. I have a big problem on keeping my arm straight, my elbow seems to want to get to the outside of my upper arm at setup, which makes me inconsistent. I've been throwing for a year now, I'm left handed and my miss is to the right which is the #1's. You have any advice? Thank you
@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn6 жыл бұрын
I had this problem myself many years ago before I dismantled my throw and rebuilt it without seeing your throw its hard to pinpoint the cause but its all about control and concentration you will have to force your self to straighten your arm and a fully following through is very important. one dart at a time serving hand into throwing hand set up hold steady throw follow through repeat.

david llewellyn thanks for the response, I've been working hard.Its at set up to where my elbow isn't straight down below my hand, my elbow is to the outside of my hand, not so much the finish. I should've explained that a little better. Thank you.

Hi jack buddy im filming some old style videos at the moment so i will include it in the content make sure your subscribed and you have hit the notification bell. Right your problem is very very common its know as GAME ON Syndrome it amazes me how many player when going to a comp on the practice boards their hitting great numbers then soon as the match board comes and the ref calls GAME ON they fall to bits. two main points there is no substitute to experience get out there and learn to loose well its all a state of mind every loss must be a lesson and my way in big events is breathing watch theas vids buddy try it believe me it works... kzbin.info/www/bejne/hH7PpYGbmt1srbM

Ace cheers Dave. Ive not been playing for a pub that long and im sure itll come with experience as the season goes on. I think learning to zone out and just play the board will help rather than worrying what theyve just hit or how bad my last 3 darts were. God knows how these lot on tele do it with thousanda watching! Nerves of steele haha. Cheers pal

@@JackT-ht2pg one tip dont watch your opponent in a match turn your back and wait till he is clear of the board before you make your approach to the oche like Dave Chisnall does try and separate yourself from all that goes on around you it works buddy.

hi mate I've just subscribed there's some really good tips there. I've been playing for about 5 months now and the grouping is starting to develop and there's no better feeling than seeing all that Hard work paying off. one thing I find really frustrating is when I'm practicing my darts are really accurate but as soon as I start playing someone my accuracy goes tits up. do you have any tips on how I can tackle this annoying problem?
@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn7 жыл бұрын
Hi Darren yes. Do it more it is natural and it will all go way when your confidence builds up and the only way it will is by playing others try and play better players than you as this will push you on. Playing lesser players is great for your ego but doesn't apply any pressure to you to improve. if you have only been playing a short while try analysing your throw this is the key to big averages I have just returned for a visit to Benidorm both coaching and playing side games.in one of them I knew I was playing a top player after watching him on the practice board. this fired me up and I did a best of seven legs I won 4-1 my three dart average was 116.4 with a first 9 of 120+. Personal I always start slow and my are feels alien for the first three or four visits so I lost the first leg.Keep practicing and playing others any one and every one you can talk in to playing..

david llewellyn thanks david well done on your victory. at the moment I'm going through a bad patch as last week I was hitting everything I was aiming for more or less and even hit my 1st 180 and scored a 130 checkout, but the last 2 days something has gone because I'm throwing as I always do and my game is atrocious and I've started to pull my darts to the left. it's so damn frustrating

Hi Slen How you hold your darts is personal to you but I show my grip in a couple of my videos and I call it three points of contact similar to holding a pen only with the second finger on the point. if you watch the slow mo footage you will see how stable and true my darts fly.
@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn7 жыл бұрын
yes I find it stabilises the dart I will do a video on this subject over the next few days so keep an eye out for the notification.
