I love how relatable it is that you don't own all the packs and think about ways to make do with the ones you have because same :) Currently I'm kinda debating wether or not to buy for rent because that would make it possible to have this type of housing without limiting the amount of sims too much. I believe you can have 6 units in a lot with 8 sims in each of them. Too bad the pack is still so new that it has not yet been on -50 % sale and on top of that it has bugs. This build gave me an idea on how to execute a similar type of basement in my builds. I want to do a lot of builds inspired by typical Finnish houses and that type of half-basement is really common here. I wish you could just build rooms partly under ground in the sims.

ive been wanting the for rent pack so so badly so i feel ur struggle!!! half basements are the standard here too so im glad i found a semi good way to mimic it :)

I'm afraid that I love the for rent pack 🥲 I don't like telling people to support EA because like you said they don't support their own products well but i love the gameplay compared to single family homes. I like how I can start in a low rent apartment in any world and move up to a home eventually.

new to your videos and absolutely in love with your content already! how do you do the desk/surface descorations? like being able to place them and then move them separately while keeping them at the correct height?? (example this part right here 37:23 ) is it the tool mod?

awe thank you!! ill try to break it down into steps and hopefully that explains it, but if not feel free to ask for more clarification! No mods are needed for this method :) 1. find the surface you want 2. find all the objects you want and slot them to that surface (the way the automatically place) 3. pull the surface away from where you want it placed in the end (the objects should move with it if theyre snapped; the same way a dining room table and chairs move) 4. click on one of the objects and drag it off the surface and it will stay the same height 5. hold down ALT key while the object is selected and place it where ever you want (repeat for all objects) 6. move the surface back to the spot where you just cluttered and youre done!
