I thought Gale was a pretty boring character and didn’t include him in my party. Started a new game recently with him in the party, and honestly he is actually more interesting than I thought.

I barely bring Wyll to my party and absolute despise Astarion because he constantly complains about my actions, but I'll definitely will bring those 2 along more in another playthrough.

I also didn't care about Gale in the beginning, but he quickly grew on me. The fact my partner and I keep making "bad breakup" jokes about him might have helped
