Nice little inverter-generator, and good price for a duel fuel rig. The smaller portable units are certainly handy to have available. The unit you're testing has better output (watts) using propane than my EF Duel Fuel generator. I have a Wen 2350w (gas only) inverter generator I take camping everytime, and have used it to charge my EF devices while camping. I only use non-ethynol gas and synthetic oil in it and the EF duel fuel rig. Nice review!

Sounds like it was on choke for that hard start. Maybe I missed it, but perhaps you could calculate run time off standard propane tanks. Cheers.

I bought a Champion 4750 watt dual fuel generator last summer from Amazon (not an inverter though). Came with the wheel kit and handle. When it arrived, I noticed the frame was slightly bent where one of the wheels goes. I contacted Amazon and was basically told it’s too expensive to return them because of the weight and hazardous materials. I paid $600 for it and they asked me to keep it and took $400 off. Mine is electric start and I didn’t have any issues with propane starting it

With propane it can take a lot to flush the air out of the system to get enough propane to run well. (Previous to all the safeties on modern equipment I'd just turn on the gas until things got good and stinky...) Some generators make it easier to "prime" with propane, but it appears either this one doesn't, or it didn't work correctly. Still seems like a pretty good unit. Size and capability for the price are impressive.

My understanding is the choke only applies to gas use. Propane completely bypasses it.

My champion dual fuel is fickle like that one as well. I have never put gas in it only propane. Sometimes starts first or second or 3rd time sometimes 20 try's. I find if I give it a couple of soft pulls and let it sit for like 5 minutes with propane on I have an easier start. Nice unit with a great price!

Thanks for that review. 2 questions: 1. Can you turn off the co sensor (running in weather with a cover of some sort might cause it to trip and shut off), 2. When running on gas is there a way to shut off the gas and let the carb run out of fuel?
@GearGadgetReviewsАй бұрын
No, you cannot turn off the co2, and yes, there is a fuel shutoff setting to allow you to run the carb dry while shutting down👍🏻

Great video on this Dinking Gas/Propane Generator! That is a great idea so if you were camping, you have another option to get electric to something that needs power. Nice to see a change up in generators as it not a LifePO4 or lead acid battery. Very happy to see it worked on propane! 🏕️😀 #brianwatersoutdoors #gearsandgadgetsreviews #youtube #dinkinggenerator

Try running your Rv air conditioner with this generator with that in line “Active start soft starter” you already have.

Get a NGK spark plug and trash the torch it comes with. Purge the lp first, connect hose to tank, turn it on until you smell lp then connect to generator

A great little bit of kit to have, especially down here in Aus. with our headlong, mindless rush to net zero, and the attendant unreliability of the National/State grids that brings with it. Fridge, freezer, small appliances, lights etc are things that are handy to have, with three or four days of fuel, while the grids cough back into life after no wind, cloudy days or whatever.
