Yummy recipe! My husband was slightly appalled at not using the garlic after it was cooked. We ended up peeling & pureeing the cooked garlic and adding it into the rice for extra flavor. Very tasty!

Immediately after I made this and before tasting, I was like, "nope kids won't eat this." Not only did ALL FIVE kids eat it... they got seconds and finished the whole pot. It makes a huge pot. Hubby couldn't get enough as well. I followed the recipe exactly as described and added broccoli (cooked separately) to make this one whole meal. It was absolutely scrumptious. Thank you Natasha!! I just made this, and WOW! This is going to be in my bi-weekly-if not weekly-dinner cycle. It is so easy, cheap, and delicious, and my toddlers, who are super difficult to convince to eat meat LOVE it. I didn’t have white wine, so I replaced the cup of white wine with a little under a cup of water, 2tbsp white wine vinegar, and 1tbsp white sugar. I also decided to add 8 cloves of minced garlic in the middle of the wine reduction stage. Oh! And I used chicken breast instead of thighs. This is just such a perfect meal. Thank you! 🤤❤️

I love this recipe I’ve made it a lot…in fact I have a pot on the stove right now! We try to eat as many different fruit and veg as possible in a week so I always mix it up as a one pot. Often I’ll add tinned tomatoes, peppers, and black beans. I know that totally changed the flavour profile but I do everything else the same and it comes out great with some extra veg. I often add peas and sweetcorn too! Such a great base to experiment

Made this twice this week. Good recipe! First time I made it I made it true to the recipe. My family loved it! To me it felt more like a side dish though. Almost like chicken flavored rice a roni but much much much better... So I just made it tonight again and I did everything the same except for I sauteed mushrooms up as well as the carrots and onion and no chicken. And then I added scallions when I served on plate. Used it as a side dish with glazed pork chops and garlic green beans. Yummmmmmm

Hi Natasha, We made this recipe today in Australia after I had my eye on it for a while! It is delicious. We added finely chopped mushrooms and shredded spinach at the end with the Parmesan and it was spectacular. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes. We make them often and thoroughly appreciate that most have metric conversions on your site! 1 cup (metric) is slightly larger than a cup there and we had a few dry recipes before realising this… but now we just weight ingredients and things turn out perfect!

Hi Natasha, Looks like a great one-pot recipe. I've looked at over a dozen other one-pot recipes but yours is the one I feel most comfortable trying. But before I do, I just had a few questions: 1. Can I chop 2-4 cloves of garlic instead of using a whole head? 2. Is there something I can using in place of wine? 3. If I wanted to add a green vegetable, what would you recommend? Broccoli? Spinach? When/how would I add it? 4. Finally, how did you heat the five cups of chicken broth before adding it to the recipe? Thanks! : )

I made it and it was absolutely delicious. The only thing I did differently was I didn’t really cook down the white wine cause I really like the taste of it in chicken, and I left the garlic in. Also didn’t add the Parmesan to the whole thing just individual bowls as I ate it so the pot wouldn’t be sticky.

Hey folks, courtesy notice, there are several NO alcohol wines on the market in both red and white, not cooking wines, and you will get the same flavor as regular wine without the alcohol, probably will have to purchase at a wine shop/liquor store, use the same amount as given in the recipe, plus you can drink it.

sara, The boiling point of ethanol or grain alcohol (C2H5-OH) at atmospheric pressure is 173.1°F (78.37°C) and thus you will not be ingesting any alcohol when you add it to frying or boiling food as it will vaporize very quickly... unless you are asking that since you don't have access to white wine or any form of food-grade alcohol which is another issue entirely.
