I am new to the bread making hobby. I am working on my starter. I feed every day. I am trying to set aside some time to actually make a loaf of bread. How long should I continue to feed my starter? there is a very strong aroma that comes from the jar. it does not smells bad, just very vinegary. have I missed my bread baking opportunity on this starter? I get good rise each time I feed. But am wondering should I refridgerate the starter at this point and take out when I am ready not make my first loaf? I have seen the phrase "Acidy" is that what may be happening? and if so, should I toss this batch and start fresh? I appreciate your input, thnak you, Brenda

Hi Natasha. What size of pan are you using? I used a pan that was too big I think. Thanks.

Thanks so much for this recipe Natasha. I made this for my wife and I this evening for dinner and we both loved it. We tend to like things on the spicier side so I added one finely chopped fresh jalapeno and a small can of diced fire roasted green chiles. Otherwise, I did it exactly per your recipe. It’s just the two of us, so a full batch of this will give us three nights of dinners. You can’t go wrong when something tastes this delicious and saves on the budget, too. If we were still feeding our kids, this would be a life saver. Edit: And by the way, we are loving your cookbook!

Когда я изучал русский язык в Институте оборонного языка, один из моих преподавателей пригласил нас на ужин, где основным блюдом был борщ. С тех пор я полюбил его во множестве приготовлений. When I learned Russian at the Defense Language Institute, One of my teachers invited us over to a dinner where the main course was borscht. I have loved it ever since, in its multitude of preparations.

Your written recipe says 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of salt; your video says 2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. So which is it?
