The reason it was tasteless was because it was previously-frozen shrimp from China.

We were seated near the entrance and couldn’t see the tank well at all when we went. My children certainly couldn’t see the aquarium. Without a good seat, the price of the food (albeit good food) isn’t worth the restaurant without the view/atmosphere.

went several years ago and was disappointed. we were seated 50 mins late, people sitting on the floor, lined up down the hallway. the place was packed and with such a low ceiling, it made me feel claustrophobic. the food was greasy and unremarkable. i think we were sitting in the same booth! :) after this review, i would consider returning and giving it another chance! thanks guys!

Glad you guys enjoyed it so much. I don't eat seafood, and only ate here a few times in the 20+ years I visited annually, and it was always "meh". Of course -= the "tank" MAKES that place - without that draw, I think the business would "tank". I agree with Drake, and if there's any sort of key lime item offered, I will always get it. I also make a mean Key Lime Pie myself. :)

$16 is not bad AT ALL for 5 big shrimp. That’s a standard amount of shrimp for shrimp cocktail. Actually 4 shrimp for like $20 is more normal. At least in NY.

Much like Rainforest Cafe, the prices for dishes means you are paying for the atmosphere as well.
@chrissygerwitz5203 жыл бұрын
No, the reason they are paying more is simply because the restaurant is on Disney property. The $6.00 or so extra that all of them paid for their entrees could be called "the Disney Surcharge."

Coral reef has been pretty terrible and incredibly overpriced for a long time. It relies solely on its atmosphere. We need Pete at a review like this for his sharp and focused honesty. This is not someplace we should be recommending with so many better restaurants in epcot alone.
