Crim, ya didn't gain life cause the ability lost its only target, and since they are not separate triggers, they get countered

Because opponent used the treasure to gain one red mana the life gain fizzled… got it. Theory: could he have done life gain then artifact destroy and made it work, or should he have just chosen graveyard exile?

@@303dannyb he could have exiled graveyard and gained the life, but since it's all one triggered ability there's no way to do the life gain then the destroy. Because spells/abilities have their effects happen in the order printed on the card, including modal cards where you can pick multiple options; you can't for instance exile the graveyard then destroy an artifact if you wanted to leave it in the graveyard for some reason, it will always destroy then exile. It's actually pretty good card design to have it listed in that order because most of the time you'd rather exile the thing you destroyed, combining that formatting with the rule of "resolve in order top-to-bottom" makes it intuitive for newer players as well. Other really good examples of this kind of design are cards with Entwine where they're modal cards that let you pick all of the options for the extra Entwine cost. IIRC Tooth and Nail is like the perfect example.

Does this deck still work in standard? I really want a dino deck in standard (Ive been using a black white toxic deck but I'm hard stuck in platinum and also dinos are mu favorite lol). I'm new to MTGA so id have to use a ton of wildcards to get this but I think I have enough. I just want to make sure its not too janky because I have some ideas for dino decks (downside to those would be they aren't legal in standard and its probably too slow - its main win condition woild be going infinite with Polyraptor with Impact Tremors, like its legal in explorer and timeless I just doubt its viable in either lol). Basically I dont want to waste my limited resources to build this and still be stuck lol.

Update: I've gone from hard stuck in Tier 4 Platinum with my Black-White toxic deck to Diamond with this deck. Unfortunately I may be stuck in Diamond Tier 4 now lol but it's been a lot of fun!

Unless you get a really lucky aggro start, the deck has a hard time against the more controlling decks or decks with just a lot of removal, especially in best-of-1 queue. In Bo3 it can get a bit better, partly from just being able to bring in more late-game threats, and the aggro matchups get even better in Bo3 too.

Why do I keep coming back to these videos.....Cringeworthy over the top commentary yet...I find myself wanting more and longer videos...its a crime hiw short the videos are.
