Unsettling, but it feels more like a tragedy than a horror film. An entire race of creatures forced to forever wander a world that left them behind. Great work, and thanks for posting this.

I love how you made the dinos here look so utterly terrifying, but at the same time, they look so much like just - *animals* instead of complete monsters. Yes, they may kill a human, but they don't appear actively malicious, if anything, wary and curious of the modern world. Honestly, I'd argue seeing one of them staring at you is just as terrifying than seeing a cougar's bright reflective eyes looking at you from the woods behind your house, spooky but natural.

I love how the dinosaur and other prehistoric-creature ghosts are portrayed as being just animals. They aren’t blood thirsty monsters out for killing humans. No vengeance, no concrete malice, no woeful sorrows of time since passed. They’re mostly doing what they would have done in life, even if they remain in a state of limbo in a world that has moved on from their time. However, their behaviors and abilities are slightly off enough that you can figure out that they are indeed ghosts.

If you need identification, here's the timestamps for each ghost: 0:06 - Giant Pterosaur, maybe an Azhdarchid of some sorts; 0:11 - "Raptor" dinosaurs, they may be Achillobators; 0:18 - Pteranodon longiceps; 0:36 - Dilophosaurus; 0:46 - Torosaurus, some people might mistake it with Triceratops, but the frill matches with the ones found in Torosaurus; 0:48 - Xinjiangtitan is my guess, due to the size of the neck and the animal, even though the real Xinjigantitan was not kaiju-sized; 1:00 - Dimetrodon; 1:11 - A Pliosaur, a bit hard to identify, maybe Pliosaurus funkei. 1:24 - Yet another "Raptor", seems to be a bit smaller than the raptors at the beginning, possibly a Deinonychus; 1:43 - Tyrannosaurus rex.

I assumed it was argentinosaurus. Not all dinosaurs lived in the same era, and you can even see some dinosaurs in this video that probably weren't from the same era. Triceratops for example was from the late cretacious period arpund 66 million years ago while dilophosaurus (the other one I assume to be in the subway with the lights flickering on the wall) was from the jurassic period that ended around 145 million years ago. Brachiosaurus also would have been from the jurassic period, but the massive argentinosaurus dwarfed many other finosaurs by far. It probably still wasn't that huge, but it's still crazy how big they were.

That was absolutely brilliant. And I love the concept to pieces. The remnants of that long-dead dynasty of giants. Just plain yes. The image of those colossal sauropod shades over the city is just downright haunting, and I love the raptor in the convenience store. It actually took me a second to realize it had gotten somebody because of how eerily peaceful the rest of the short is. From the starting frame to the last, the animals all look great. This is both horrifying, yet strange beautiful. What I also love as a paleo nerd is the fact all the dinosaurs look very accurate, and act like actual animals. It’s scary because of how out of place these animals are, but strange beautiful in a melancholic way as this animation makes it feels like even after having gone extinct 66 million years ago, the dinosaurs very essence still continue to exist as ghosts. As if this animation shows that no matter how long it’s been, nothing is ever truly gone.

This is a really cool idea. Never thought about the ghosts of other dead beings but yeah it checks out. It also makes sense why dinosaurs are back (besides cloning) and it’s an interesting way to make dinosaurs even more threatening: you can’t shoot a ghost. But these could be those ghosts that can hurt you but you can’t hurt them (unless you have some special something that can). Also, ghostly sea creatures that fly now is cool too.

I absolutely love how there are no jumpscares like directly but the tension is just so high that even when I expected something scary and loud to happen... a flippin bottle scared me. Same for the metro scene, I heard the train coming and I expected something to come out of the tunnel, but that torosaurus was so unexpected it scared the shit out of me. Its honestly beautiful how these dinos were made and how terryfing they are even when they dont do anything brutal or smth. Just that stare at the end of the video is enough to give me nightmares.

This kinda makes sense when you think about how most of them died, like ghost linger more longer when more pain and agony is experienced, so in a world where ghost are confirmed to exist this would happen at least to a small degree. It's scary but also sad.

A stroke of genius toward the end when the bottle falls from the shelf. Naturally my attention is turned toward the bottom right of the frame where it fell. Then all of a sudden, the T-rex popped up and I jumped as those glowing eyes stared right at me. This is the most horrifying yet natural depiction of dinosaurs I've ever seen. Also, this was the first time I've ever been jumpscared by a Triceratops/Torosaurus.

Ha! I've discovered a fun exercise in expectations and perspectives. Fans who already follow this creator and know him as a horror artist see this as a horror film and see the dinosaur ghosts as "terrifying," "disturbing," etc. And those who are watching your work for the first time and have no expectations are instead seeing the beauty of the animals and the sadness in their deaths. I think this is cute. Ghost dinosaurs are cute. :3

man i LOVE this. the shot with the dimetrodon really got to me. that dimetrodon has a story to tell. i thought this was more toying with the concept about dinosaur ghosts but that made me realize you were literally interpreting the now-extinct life after their deaths.

David, you may not see this but I highly advise you to take legal action, you can take this to court...YOU SHOULD. Not only did this person stole your work, they also went around giving false copyright claims to your own video and other people who have reacted to your own WORK. I came from Kubzscouts video and you have every step by step process of your work... almost each frame that was made... not to mention that it was also posted on fb around 2016 and this poser posted it as his around 2023 and even made an IMDB page claiming it as his. You have enough evidence that you are the original creator of your own masterpiece, this person should never get away with this. Also, sorry if my english is bad, I hope this issue can be resolved, this app is getting more and more ridiculous with this false copyright claims. Even if you comment this on their twitter acc, yt deletes it smh.

imo this is one of the most peaceful ones you've ever done. i work with a lot of wildlife and i try to at least pay respects to the dead wherever i go. they dont get much of that in death but i feel like some is better than nothing. i feel like, in a sense, you have paid some kind of respect to our feathered/scaled friends that came before. always love your work
