I used to sit by myself at school and listen to the Jr.But nobody at the time even considered it a band! They all thought Nirvana was our saviour. And yet I loved this band without judgement they made me feel good. That is all I could really ask.

I feel kind of ripped off by life when I watch this stuff. They were like 22-24 then and I was 11. Ten years later when I was old enough to be a part of this stuff we had...Limp Bizkit and nu-metal. Fucking hell, man.

Late '80s / early '90s Dino is still unsurpassed. Often I wish Jimi had lived on to see his legacy in Bad Brains, Death, Dino, and Wipers. J and Greg in particular would have don him proud, I'm sure. And imagine what they might have taught each other!

They played the Roxy a few weeks later while still on the West Coast. It was louder as the Roxy had a great house PA and Jay, Lou and Murph took full advantage of it. They were really an outstanding band at this point. This was their peak ( for me ). It was pre-Nirvana. There was no "grunge" on the radio yet ... or MTV, per say . But there was a program called 120 Minutes that played Toad The Wet Sproket, Chapterhouse, Big Head Todd ... and "Furry Little Things" video. Outstanding.

I watch the guitar solo...and it's pretty good considering that the album solo is pure genius. It was the alcohol that made him solo like this. Now you see it and the solo goes on for two or three minutes. J will always be my guitar hero.
