Yes the sideshow dinosauria sculps are some of the best if not outright best most realistic pieces out there, really sucks that they stopped producing them.

Great review and great figure! I have the original version and agree-it’s the nicer of the the two. I believe the Apatosaurus v1 was one of the last in the line to not include the black sub-base. That is a huge distraction and a deal breaker for me in terms of display. Aside from an awesome sculpt and conservative paint scheme, what really sets this piece off for me is it’s simplicity; Just a dinosaur walking on a simple surface. No baby, sloppy looking plants and logs, no scars, blood, etc, to distract. It’s the best SS release and a crown jewel in any collection. I would have liked a faux bronze version.

Great piece, i have it myself and it’s never gonna leave the collection. I also own the T-rex and Stegosaurus from the Dinosauria line, and they are also great pieces.

I have the rex, but not the stego. Always wanted it but never got it. There are 3 I always really wanted but never got. The stego, the rex/triceratops, and the allosaurus/camarasaurus. 5 if you include the first editions of the Apatosaurus and carnotaurus, lol.

@@andysdinosaurreviews I really want the first old Tyrannosaurus but the two last ones I watched on ebay where sold for !!!! 1700 and 1900€ !!! That is my last favorite - but too expensiv. I have the Apatosaurus,Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Tyrant king, Camarasaurus vs Allosaurus. All bought on ebay between 330-500 € per piece in 2019. From Uk and USA.

@@Qazywind in but there is still amphecoelias but to be honest those people who estimated that we think we know everything but we actually know 1% I mean it could have been a little male and it could have had 50 vertebrates and could have been 420 feet long or could have had 9 vertebrates and 40 feet long it could go either way so you'll have to ask God until we get high enough technology

Thank you Andy for the review! Beautiful piece, but indeed very fragile. Fragile parts should be made out of pvc or something imo. Hope to get the chance to buy one some day. Saw one on eBay for around $800 last month + shipping and tax (Singapore), too pricey for the risk of breaking during shipping. Don't know which version of this Apatosaurus is my favorite, I think this one.

This is a massive figure! I don't want this figure in my house, cause I don't to accidentally break it. It's so beautiful and Well sculpted! When I first saw this figure online, they've obviously predicted what dinosaur was going to be in Jurassic World.

All of the Apatosaurus have this white point over the left front leg. Production fault... I painted over it with the same color. Best model of a gaint sauropod...in my opinion. It's sculpted to look gigantic and very massive.The walking pose.The sideshow line was realistic. My bigger Shane Foulkes Apatosaurus was painted the same color pattern.
