QUESTION OF THE REVIEW: Jim Henson possessed a genius imagination. He put Dinosaurs in an 80s sitcom! But with what other sort of creatures/beings/etc could you imagine Jim Henson making an 80s sitcom? Aliens? A world like Zootopia but the humans in in zoos? Sentient kitchen appliances? Post your answers in reply to this comment and Bobsheaux or I just might read and discuss your answer at the end of the next review. Include details to make your answer stand out! (Please note, we are still figuring out how we're going to do this. The upcoming review will have a segment at the end where all the "Into The Hensonverse" questions will be discussed. Stay tuned to see if your answer grabs our attention!)

Maybe he would've made a story in a fantasy world kind of similar to the Pixar movie "Onward." Though, if it was made 80's or 90's, the technology would be VCRs and Walkmans and such.

I'd like to see the Henson people get the rights to continue Short Circuit. The 2nd movie ends with Johnny 5 being formally recognized as a U.S. citizen, but what does that mean for a robot? He's the co-creator of Input Inc., one of the most successful overnight sensations in the world, but how does he handle his wealth when he doesn't hold money with the same value that humans do? How do his employees take to having their paychecks written by a machine? I very much doubt that his continued relations with Newton and Ben wouldn't eventually lead to the creation of OTHER robots like himself, but how would he deal with the notion of figuring out how to make them sentient like himself VS. making them as comparatively dumb as his former S.A.I.N.T. brethren? How would OTHERS react to that kind of artificial intelligence becoming more commonplace? Johnny 5 removes his laser weapon because he's repulsed by his original function as a tool of war, but how would he react if he accidentally killed someone with something else that he always thought was nonlethal? How would he react to a loved one dying compared to his own existence which could be (as far as anyone can tell) indefinite? If ANYONE could take a stab at answering these questions, Henson's people could. ;)

I've actually never seen this show, but now I actually would like to. I especially like the howling episode as it seems that while some believe in it due to tradition and others for more personal reasons, I actually have a conclusion of my own. To me it seems that in a way you could argue that the superstition could be true. One could say that the darkness that will bring an end to dinosaur kind could be the aggression that the males experience before the event itself. If they went unchecked by not howling, those tensions could build to a boiling point that could lead to their destruction. What I'm getting at is that perhaps the real darkness being conquered is that which lies inside of us that must be confronted and conquered. Well that's my take on it anyway. Side-Note: Great review as always you guys, and thanks so much for introducing me to this show! :D I'm so happy to see that you two are thriving and that your love for one another is as strong as ever.
