Nice to see the ladies and the blues, they're fun on ugly sticks and medium reels. Was out weekend before last rains got the water really dirty. Got a 3 foot bonnet on shrimp by the log on the inlet. Guy asked me if I was gonna eat it. I always release but would you and could you and if yes how would you?

No I wouldn't have kept it, talked to some commercial guys and they have told me that the hammer head family of sharks have the worst meat, they can't even sell it. When I eat sharks usually eat black tip.

Where are you at, in relation to the rocks? I was down their in August .

I was to the right of the rocks, how did ya do?

@@DinsmoreOutdoors Had a pretty good day between thunderstorms, I was just left of the rocks, caught a few whiting and pompano. But the catch of the day was a really nice flounder 22" bad boy.

Hi from JC in PV. Nice video. Question. Are you throwing past the bar? Or inside the bar? Always confused about what to do. Thanks

I put my rods at different distances I will put one on the back side, one on the front and one up close. Then which ever I get the most bites on is where I set the rest. Hope that helps!!
@jawjuh10055 жыл бұрын
Dinsmore Outdoors thank you. It seems like I get more bites in the trough but I definitely have a lot to learn so that may not mean much. Thank you. I need to learn this area better. I moved up from Stuart Florida.
@DinsmoreOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
Why would you do a thing like that haha. It was the same for me you just learn a lil more each time you go out

Nice catches. I noticed you used shrimp as bait. I've never managed to catch a bluefish on shrimp. I've always used mullet / cut mullet / finger mullet. How much weight were you using to keep the rig down? Thanks much. Enjoy your videos.
@DinsmoreOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
Normally 2oz but the current and waves where getting bad that day so had to go to 4oz.

@@DinsmoreOutdoors Thanks for the info. One more question: in the northeast part of Florida, do you think the Nassau sound area is the best area for surf fishing this time of year? Ive seen you do surf fishing videos from that area before but didn't know if you chose that beach because it's convenient for you to get to, or because you think that's the best beach from which to catch fish? Thanks again.

I’ve thought about walking the beach and throwing and seeing what I caught. True about the peeps constantly walking by but most are looking down so you have to warn them about the lines too cause they will walk into them. I’ve had kids on their bike run right into the lines and I’m like; you didn’t see the fishing poles?

Hence the bright yellow line I use haha.

That was a big ladyfish. Productive day nonetheless

Yep! Got to fight some fish and was lucky enough to bring some home for dinner 😁

Looks like you bent a rod all day long, nice! IMHO. Moderate/heavy surf is usually better than flat calm, because it usually provides current and churns up the bottom. Clean surf is always a plus...

Ya fish when ya can haha. At least I was catching stuff. Rather be a limit of Pomp's but hey what ya gonna do lol. The rods I use I haven't lost a fish yet other than being cut off lol
