He knew how to adapt to the changes in his voice, and he sounded good until his last shows in 2009. Not a lot of older singers can or are willing to do that.
@kenarms43643 жыл бұрын
@@shurik121 Very true. I personally know a singer from a famous 70's band who has real trouble hitting the high notes now. Not gonna say the band's name, but they still play about 140 shows a year. 40 years on the road has to take a toll on the vocal chords.
@shurik1213 жыл бұрын
@@kenarms4364 Not gonna try to guess, though it's probably not difficult :) Rush is my favorite band of all time, but listening to Geddy Lee trying to sing the older songs during their last couple of tours is painful sometimes. He made no effort to adapt like Dio did, and he was really struggling to hit the high notes, and it was obvious he could not do it.
@kenarms43643 жыл бұрын
@@shurik121 I am not trying to be curt, but I will say it is a famous southern rock band. Geddy gave it everything he had, but I have observed that most of the guys who went high, often, on their vocals paid the price later. But I can't carry a tune in a bucket so not being critical.

If people like Dio, Elvis, Rob Hallford and many more haven't appeared on stage you would not listen to this shit nowadays, so be thankful

Georgi Dimitrov This song is not peaceful,it kicks ass. That's what I'm saying. And modern rock isn't shit. It has it's minor issues but some of them r pretty damn good. But it'll never ever beat classic rock n roll. I saw ur post with you wearing an Iron Maiden shirt. Love that band too. And be thankful for what again? I don't know if it's beacuse you're Russian or I'm German,I just couldn't understand the meaning of "be thankful". BTW what's ur favorite band?

Metallica vs Nirvana i'm bulgarian. Russians can't talk english that well (or at least there are not so many). I meant thankful for because people like them created this style of music. Anyway I don't like that *who is your favourite band* question, because it's not only one :D but there are some: maiden, judas, whitesnake, purple, y&t and many more.
