I just learned the intro a week ago with no help from KZbin or tab, all by ear. Like you said, it’s not hard and I’m playing it exactly like you.. I learned it to show my 15-year-old son Who is learning how to play guitar.. Thank you for showing this. And by the way Carl, you are my son’s idol for teaching.. He is learning sooooo much from your videos he’s blowing my mind when he plays something for me. Wish I had KZbin 30 years ago.. He is constantly watching your videos and learning. Forty years ago, my guitar teacher told me to bring in a tape of something I wanted to learn. It was this Dio album, this intro. I learned it differently but it still sounds good. I have always enjoyed VC's solos, especially "Mystery". Really enjoy this channel and your work.

Love the songs you do here! I am a fan. If I might give a little comment on the lesson style: Sometimes it is hard to figure out what phrase is played at the moment because of the back and forth. For me it would be much easier if you play it one time very slow in a row but not jumping as much around in the song while explaining. But I love the lessons nevertheless. 🙂

There's no better heavy metal band better than Dio, except for maybe 1980's Iron Maiden. All the 80's Dio albums up and including Lock up the Wolves. Fantastic music. "Dream Evil" is my favorite album although "Holy Diver" might have the highest amount of top quality songs.
