Bless me father I must go away To save us from the one's who don't believe Confess me father I have sin but maybe Angels really sing For the man who would be king We laugh at your religion You people of the sand We have no superstition You can read it in our hands Forgive me father for the change we bring But it's all for the man who would be king Don't leave a body standing Not the holy not the small Deliver us from evil If it's yours we want it all Lately father I've been wondering Is the devil just the man who would be king How can right be ever wrong We are glory we are stronger than you We never got an answer It's just too late to ask The bloody flag was waving Our hearts just ran too fast Curse me father for the chains we bring And don't believe the man who would be king We never got an answer The question slipped my mind I've been so busy killing I haven't found the time

So sad that phenomenal music like this only has 20k views. Dio may easily be my favorite vocalist, on voice alone, not even considering the actual content in his songs. No one sings about these type of things. Its too scary or weird. Dio went there and slaughtered it.
Thank you Manny!! Very cool thing to say!! I appreciate that very much and I appreciate you my friend!!

Actually it's about George W Bush and the war he basically created! And our fallen soldiers fighting for his selfish cause! Desert Storm created way more problems than it solved. According to this song that is!!

Dio's first real pollitical song. Written about Bush 43 but is more fitting about Trump 45.

@Michael Guest ALL presidents start/inherit foreign conflict per the Commander In Chief "hat" they wear. Trump behaved in a way that showed contempt for the Separation of Powers and even a fundamental misunderstanding of Checks and Balances. Trump's followers constantly bemoaned the Judicial Branch's injunctions against his "Wall Emergency" and "Muslim Travel Ban" as if the President can't be challenged in Congress or the Courts. Trump wanted to consolidate the powers of the Three Branches and the events of 6 January show that his supporters are hellbent on facilitating that.

Dio is mocking the US take on Foreign politics and specifically is targeting President Bush in the song as The Devil. Its more of an anti-war or anti-government song. Pretty interesting stuff.
