For me when it comes to Dio I feel like he's become better and better the more I've gone back in time. Lately I've been listening to the band ELF, which is the best material i've come accross so far. 2 best songs i've ever heard from this guy: Wonderworld and Driftin

This is an exceptional track, and album, commending Ronnie James Dio. Dio had many friends within the rock and metal fraternity. He was particularly good friends with Ozzy Osborne. Sadly Dio died in 2010 from stomach cancer. But, his musical legacy lives. This is a beautiful track.

@@colrhodes377 I read Sharon Osbornes autobiography some years ago, there was a chapter in which Sharon described the emotion of visiting Ronnie just prior to his death..she had difficulty keeping it together. Ozzie…well who knows given his drug bent brain. When Ozzie was fired by Black Sabbath, it was Ronnie who replaced him. I don’t think they were bosom buddies. But, there was a lot of comical banter between them.

Well, It was Dio who introduced the well-known hand gesture to the metal scene. She is called the "Devil Horns" by many. But this is not entirely correct, since it has nothing to do with the devil in that sense. This very old gesture is called ́Mano cornuta ́, Italian for ́Horned Hand ́. DIO said: .. my grandmother, who was very superstitious, made this gesture to ward off evil, a disaster. I did the hand signal a few times on stage, during my time with Black Sabbath. The fans took it as a greeting and then spread it in the metal scene.´ Ronnie James Dio was a huge Inspiration for Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson. And so it got different names such as ́Satan's Greeting, Metal Fork or Goat Horns ́. I hope there is more DIO to come on your channel. Have a peaceful sunday, my dear 🤘🤘💚💚🌈🌈

This album grew on me after not hearing it for several years. No Dio album disappointed me like Dream Evil. He was in his prime and put out a keyboard-heavy album that could have been great.

I think it had some great songs, this one certainly is, it may not be the traditional Dio style but its not a bad album at all, i have lstened to it quite a bit. He played the songs "Hunter of the heart" and Double monday" live and they are on the live album "Dio's Inferno - The Last In Live"
