Dionne Warwick is probably one of the most underappreciated vocalists of her generation. And as far as I'm concerned 'Deja Vu' is her musical magnum opus, as it perfectly melds all of her vocal skills from the Pop, R&B, Gospel, and Jazz realms. Beautifully ethereal...

I just love the various improvisational melodic changes Dionne adds so artful in this performance. And was there ever a more beautiful or elegant pop singer or a voice as smooth as sensual or as effortlessly appealing as was that of the great Dionne Warwick?

awesome song, I love the chord changes and tone DW adds. you can see the band is also grooving . the strings fill in the song very nice. I wish composers still wrote these type of songs. great performance but back up singers go a little flat here and there .

So classy and refined and pristine like the lady herself, who sings so sweetly and beautifully. I looooove this song. And to think, this gem was written by Issac Hayes who almost didn't give the song to Dionne. Thank God he gave it to her to record on her Dionne album. The song fits her like a perfect dress ❤

This was the time period when Dionne looked her most gorgeous! Never was a big fan of Deja Vous, even though it is sexy, mysterious, and complicated. Appreciate its uniqueness and creativeness. I kind of liked the follow up to this song a little better--"Never Said Goodbye" on the release No Night So Long. (1980)
