I remember this song on the radio while I was growing up. My aunt drove me to school every morning and the radio station we listened to played this every morning. Great memories! Dionne sounds great in this clip.

Beautiful but strong singer-ess and singers called 'The Detroit Spinners' ... plus 'Dionne' ... even in 1990 ye transported and conveyed the inimitable 'flava' (flavour)of the seventies-ness!!! And Uncle til this very day in 2019 highly esteems thy work !!! Dear publisher 'Domen Kosi' ... thank dear GOD that as a publisher, "THEN CAME YOU" !!! That is Yvonne Fair in the glasses and hat walking down the hallway with Dionne in the beginning of this clip. She was James Browns girlfriend and bore him a daughter Venisha Brown. She was also the first to record James Browns classic song, I FEEL GOOD". He wrote and produced it on her first and it was called, "I FOUND YOU". She went on to be signed to Motown for a couple of albums and then she married Sammy Strain of Little Anthony and the Imperials and later the O'Jays. Many blessings to you sister Fair...you served. By the way John Edwards (the replacement for Phillipe Wynne) of the Spinners was a Soul singing fool!!! That man could sing!!

@ivyfield ...that was Bobby Smith who sang the duet parts wit Dionne, but then on the original recording Phillipe Wynn came on and did all the end riffs. He always put that little gospel feel to it. I hate it that he left the group to go solo, then died later on. John Edwards was good, but a completely different style.
