Hi to all. I have a lot of soundcore/anker headphones. I have the q20's, the q35's, and now a couple days ago, now have the space q45's. Anyone who has any of the older headphones, do yourself a major favor and just get the q45's. These headphones are more comfortable than the older ones for a start. When I got the app to find them which did take a little longer then I wanted, changed my EQ to acoustic and away I went. Music sounds great on these headphones, as does audio dramas and I know watching movies from places like Tubi, pluto, or Disney+ will also be great. The soundcore app works great with voice over which is the screenreader I use on my iPhone 13 pro max as I'm totally blind. When I received my q45 headphones, they were 60 % charged wright out of the box which is pretty cool. They connected to my phone with no issues. I also really like the buttons on the headphones. They have a quality feel to them. Using them wired also works just fine as well. If the headphones are turned on, the headphones will automatically turn off, and the audio will come up and the battery level will be announced. You can then choose either noise canceling, normal, or transparency. I recommend listening to them wired with noise canceling on. I just bought them from amazon for $100 as a black-Friday deal. They came very fast. I also bought a great case for them. I would have no problems taking these with me if I did any kind of traveling. Do yourself a favor and grab these headphones.

I'm receiving the Life Q30s tomorrow and I'm excited, honestly though I wish I saw this review before because I didn't even know these existed before buying but tbh I compared prices and features and I got an amazing deal for the Q30s so I'm not disappointed. I read that it's mostly the build quality and aesthetics that truly make the Q45s stand out and I'm really careful with my electronics so I'm not worried. I guess if the Q30s start to break or fail I know where to upgrade. Anyway, great review.

I've read people complain about products breaking on them and I've had the same products for years, I just take good care of my stuff so with these headphones it won't be different so I'm hoping to squeeze so much fun out of them and maybe by the time they can't play anymore, Soundcore will have something even better than the Q45s I don't know. I got the q30's almost 2 years ago. They still work and sound just like they did when I first got them. With that said, I treated them horrificly, took them to the gym and slept in them often. The ear foam has seperated from the inside, and the one design flaw of the headphones is the plastic part that holds the earmufs to the metal bar. When it snaps, and if you sleep in them for more then a year they will, the earmuf wont detach from the headphones but it will flop inwards in a really uncomfortable way. Ducktape fixed it for me😂. Hi Dion! An important question I have, how is the multi-point connection going? I have the Apple ecosystem and I have tried the AirPods Max, but the price seems ridiculous to me for the use that I am going to give it, since I usually use headband headphones a couple of times a week for videoconferences, some video of KZbin to take advantage of noise cancellation and little else. Could I have these headphones paired to the MacBook and iPad for example, which is what I'd use it with the most, and when turned on they would automatically connect to one of the two paired devices? Or every time you want to connect with one of them would you have to make the connection by entering Bluetooth options? Thank you and sorry for the billet!

And on the other hand, are they comfortable? When I have tried the Airpods Max, I have covered my whole ear and have been very comfortable. Have these the design of the pad to cover them whole and do not hurt? To me it is not worth Apple's, since the diadema headphones with noise cancellation would only use them two days a week for videoconferences and meetings of 1.5 hours, and the truth is that they attract my attention these attention Soundcore, but of course, I need them to be comfortable. Well, I literally bought the Q45 two days ago due to my Q30's ear pads basically opening to the point of seeing the sponge from inside (the quality of the Q30's materials is what I think is his real down side) and Let me tell you, it is a noticiable diference. It is better in everything Noise Canceling as for what the statement means; even without literally using the mode, I hear the outside of my headphones far less the with the Q30's. Also the Noise Canceling feature can be set in an adaptable way, this option that was, at the start, concerning to me, ended up being a neat plus bc the way it adapts to the necesity is fast and actually efficient for the needs of not hearing any sounds (it changes the audio settings tho, so you must equalize the thing If it really bothers you). The only thing that really dropped me from the boat at my first days of using the product was the obvious fact that the Q45s equalizer potentials work in a totally different way than the Q30s so If you haved especific settings in the last, you wont be able to make it sound the same in the Q45s (you can use it to gide you through the creation of settings that you like, Its different but the quantity of equalizer knobs is the same as in the Q30's so with a bit of patience, you might be able to equalizer the whole thing as you like, but have in mind that If you are picky with the whole sound quality, you are not gonna be ready to use the sound settings from the get go.

Great review. What about bluetooth quality sound? Can I get ALAC codec with my iPhone 11 pro max? To have a near to HI RES audio experience. Thanks.
@SkynetGeneral8 ай бұрын
With an iPhone, you can only have AAC. It is impossible for AAC or any other codec to make the bitrate requirement for ALAC (LDAC is the closest and unavailable for Apple.) That being said, I used Apple Music for the first time on Android just to try out my new LDAC earbuds and holy smokes does it work. Wired will never fail to give the ALAC experience though, and these headphones support wired.
@SkynetGeneral8 ай бұрын
I will give an update when I receive this headset tomorrow. Apple Music will be the app of choice. I will try with AAC, LDAC and wired.
@SkynetGeneral8 ай бұрын
So that's how it went: The sound initially felt disappointing, so I used the HearID feature of the headphones and tweaked it a bit so I had a V-shaped equalizer curve. I like it so far. Wired: Works absolutely fine on PC, but low volume when using Type C to 3.5mm converters on my Huawei tablet and Samsung phone. Good stage separation, good quality. LDAC: Oh man. Amazing stage separation, warm sound, you hear almost everything. At this point I can say that I am spoilt. No going back from LDAC 990kbps and Apple Music downloads that take more than 30 megabytes a song. AAC: Sound lost its warmth. I tried using the low sound quality option on Apple Music while using AAC to get the "Realistic iPhone experience", but I know Apple's own devices make better use of AAC. Then again, not much was lost, but the sound definitely lost its airy and warm feel. Switching back to low bitrate LDAC (330kbps) felt better than the AAC on these cans.

@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi Simon, great question and my apologies for the late reply. I have not been able to compare these two with the Q45, but based on the info of the producer I can say the following. The Q45 has 40 mm double layered drivers for improved sound. They also have far superior ANC (confirmed in other reviews) and also support high quality LDAC listening. In addition to this they got 2 mic, longer battery life and connect via BT 5.3 for minimal latency.

The voice cancelation feature on the SC Q45 headphone is super weak. I have tried Skullcandy headphones with the voice cancellation feature(35 Euros cheaper) and it was isolating me as if nothing exists anymore, and the sound quality ist much better. I regret buying the SC Q45 and sure will try to exchange them for a Skullcandy instead. I hated the sound quality as well, nothing special!!! I can hear my keyboard clicking sound while typing as well as the ambulance sirens, the voice cancelation mode does not differ from the normal mode..... Seher schlicht!!!!!

I own the Anker Q10, Q30 and the Q45 arrived yesterday. They sound fine when the equalizer is used, unfortunately when ANC is on the sound turns "tinny/flat", maybe an update will solve that. Also, I'm missing "superior sleep" in the app, why isn't it there? Auto pause playback + NFC + transparent mode when you put your hand on the right earpiece - all this is NOT there. Big disappointment. With a good equalizer setting and ANC turned off, you can achieve 80% of the reproduction quality compared to the Sony WH-1000XM3. I don't understand why Anker chose such a downgrade. (I apologize for my English)
@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi Martin, thanks for sharing your experience especially having tried several Anker headphones. Yes, as mentioned in my review I mention quite a difference in sound with or without ANC on. As far as the auto pause playback and the rest they are not part of the standard features. Were they in the previous versions? Seem good suggestions for future editions of the Anker Q series.
@hemendex2 жыл бұрын
@@DionMedia Hi Dion, thanks for the reply. Regarding previous versions of Anker, only the Q35 version had automatic stop (sensor in the earpiece). It was a good thing, don't know why they removed it. Anyway, the Q35 initially had a problem with the ANC ON/ANC OFF sound quality difference, the update solved that. I got a statement from Soundcore support that they are already testing the new update and will send it to me for a beta test within a week. So I hope it will be fixed by now, as I prefer to use my older A30 at the moment :) The sound is really terrible.

Anker sent me an updated firmware (v 02.16) for my headphones that fixes the sound issues. For now, it's a beta version. The bass is more pronounced, but the sound is still different and flatter when the ANC is on. It's definitely an improvement though. So we'll see if it gets even better in the official update.

How are they while jogging and gaming
@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question. I will split it in two. As far as gaming is concerned the Q45 has excellent Noise cancellation + the bass adds to a very good gaming sensation. When it comes to jogging it is a different story. Although in testing it never felt off, I felt a bit insecure on my head (of course size of your head etc makes a difference, but when jogging is your main consideration I would look at other options as well, while for gaming the Q45 is truly very good.

Still the same cheap carry case now with the throw away plastic insert Still questionable workmanship and longevity Improved ANC but lacking in every other department The regressed from the sound quality in Q35 and now came up with muffled Muddy BASS and no sub bass and butchered the highs that even the EQ could not fix It begs to wonder is the space series sound engineers Tone Deaf ??? Cause what they produced is untunable
@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anarkan, thanks for sharing your clear opinion. I agree there are better headphones around, but they come at double or triple the price. For me the Q45, for its price range, is one of the best, if not the best around. I have the feeling you will not agree, but I still wanted to give you my point of view
@anarkan1912 жыл бұрын
Dear Dion, quite the contrary I appreciate and applaud your in depth review and certainly respect your opinion I am just deeply disappointed that after the marvel of Q35 with impeccable sound the Q45 that is meant to trump that in all aspect just focuses on one aspect and throws everything else out the window. Like you I am in the hobby and as Q45 is not my only headphone and soundcore not my only brand yet I do understand and can appreciate quality with out spending exuberant amount of cash and well aware that there are plenty of other brands that are more capable and also as you said more $$$ of course and believe it or not I am the sound core fan but when I saw the extremely simplistic approach and the lack of effort from Soundcore in cutting corners yet again to stay competitive going from a nice suede in Q35 carry case and the creased synthetic leather cups with nice cushion to bug standard run of the mill cheap plastic with questionable longevity and as oppose to have internal pouch in the case have a plastic disposable shoe insert I considered this indifference a slap in the face from soundcore to all the soundcore devoted fans for their support of their brand but wait !!! we have fantastic ANC !!! We have sixty hours battery but we know you wouldn’t put up with your music sound like a radio fit more than an hour if at all but wait !!! We still have Great ANC and EQ come on soundcore Do you see my point. What frustrates me is soundcore DOES have the ability to deliver as they have done in the past Q30 and Q35 a shining example but they seem to purposely hold back focus entirely one one aspect ANC and cut corners to cater to flavour of the month that happens to be ANC and everyone has to accept it and ignore the very reason you use headphones, so soundcore can use this marketing strategy to stay one ahead of competition as every one remembers Great ANC but no one is really bothered about the sound quality or I should say lack there of . I would have appreciated not going backwards on Sound Quality from the excellent sound in Q30 and Q35 that they showed they can produce for a more improved ANC the reason of which being this approach is only that soundcore will be able to explain. Sorry if I was not clear in my original comment.
@DionMedia2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anarkan, thanks for your elaborate explanation. I see where you are coming from and you made your points crystal clear. Let us hope that Soundcore will read this as well. Again, thanks and please keep on commenting! Have a nice weekend

@Samuel-bd1ms Жыл бұрын
@@MrPINKFL0YD I'm sorry, but it wasn't very accurate. The first thing I noticed when using these was the sound quality which was below par imo, and the noise cancelling is pretty much unusable to me in public spaces since it does a poor job of blocking some frequencies which come through really sharp (in the video he said the ANC is comparable to the XM5, I believe Linus Tech Tips made a video directly comparing both, you can see how different they really are and these shouldn't be compared). Considering that these cost around 120€ today and you can get the exceptionally higher quality Bose QC45 for under 200€ (I got mine for 175€), that seems like a no-brainer.
