Good day Mr. Joy, I'm straight up a Fahrenheit guy (literally, bearded blue collar middle aged guy), blind bought Dior homme intense 2 days ago, wow it is damn amazing! It was made by a genius. It turns women's heads when I wore it to grocery yesterday, it is the best fragrance I bought blindbuy or not, you sold it to me by saying its your wife, lol. Thank you. Awesome stuff.

Great review Joy! A 2019 batch was my introduction to DHI. I bought a 100ml for $98 on Mercari. It smells so good & lasts long enough, that I'm not really interested paying insane markups for older batches.

DHI still one of my favorite of all time hands down better than thounds of niche fragrances . I have a bottle of the very first one from 2009 with silver spray head i love love that one and i also have a bottle from 2011 the first reformulation i love that one too. The vintage one is darker and heavy on coco and less sweet the 2011 verson is sweeter and heavy on vanila love them both. I also have DHP that i love but not as much as i love my DHIs :) great review brother

the drydown on dior homme 2019 is heavenly. a metallic mossy medicinal slight cherry a little sweet with a warm wood. super.

I tested DHI today. Sprayed it on my wrist, i dont like it very much at first. Some time later, i smelled an amazing cocoa type fragrance while driving. My God what a fragrance. I will buy it very soon.

@@7860092 Yeah it still smells the same. Possibly slightly diluted from reformulation but still great. Personally my tastes have changed a little now it's a bit harder to wear as doesn't smell super masculine.

@@7860092 Projection is decent. About 4-6 hours longevity but sometimes can still smell it after 8. the opening is the same old DHI I remember and the dry down is just a pleasant soft woody smell

No iris or cacao/patchouli accords in 2020 batches. But it does smell good.

It's a completely different fragrance. No chocolate or leather, can't smell much iris. Having said that, it's very fresh, it's crisp it's sharp. Very similar to sauvage( maybe too similar) but I like it a lot.

Dior Homme Intense 2020 with Dior written on the cap is the same formula as the 2019 that he’s reviewing. Comes in the same box. Only difference is they removed the name from the bottle and put it on the cap. The scent and formula is the same as far back as 2017 formula. 10950/A.

I called it on Fragrantica more then a year ago. It didn't project nor stayed on the skin longer than 5 hours. I tried this scent from almost 15 legit perfumeries that were around me throughout the year. Sadly, people circlejerk over some reviews that tell fairy tales about how their 2019 perfume performs like a "beast". I am so disappointed. The transition from top to bottom notes is less noticeable. The 2014 version it was like a shapeshifter.

Colognes drop new formulations towards the last half of the year before, with the same packaging. They usually officially release that new formulation with its new packaging in the first few months of the new year. For example DHI 2020 new formulation batches dropped in late 2019, but its new formulation WITH new packaging unveiled in 2020. Don’t quote me on this tho, it’s just speculation. There’s formulation codes on the box to check and see exactly what it is

What's the batch code on your bottle and box? I bought a bottle from CVS and much of their stock is shipped from Fragrancenet. My box looks similar to Joy's and the batch code is 9D01 (April, 2019) bottle. The cap is similar to Joy's but I'd like to know why the caps from other years have the "Dior Homme Intense" written on the cap and the CD on the top of the cap is white. I just boght 150 ml 2019 DHI and it´s weak. Opens very nice and promising, but it fades pretty soon. To my surprise Bvlgari Man In Black projects stronger and much longer. Yeah, current formulation of DHI is shit - smells nice but ZERO POWER. I´m lucky to have two 100 ml bottles of Guerlain LIDGE EDP and that one is pure masterpiece. Although it´s no powerhouse it still lasts longer than 2019 DHI. I much rather buy another two bottles of LIDGE than a spare bottle of current DHI.
