One thing to note about the Dior- I think it truly does adjust to your skin. Whenever I first apply it, I can barely see it on my skin and I feel like I need to build it up. However, on more than one occasion when I was wearing this blush, my husband noted that I had “a lot of rouge on” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 First of all, LOL at him calling it “rouge,” but also he has never said that about another blush. I need to remember to give it time to adjust before I pile on more

They’re both so pretty! I have always wanted the Dior one but since it is so fragranced, I’d go with the Essence blush if I needed a cold, cotton candy pink-which I do already have covered via Etude House’s Strawberry Choux, which I’ve repurchased several times now.

Loved this $ Hi-Lo side by side comparison! 💕 If we weren’t trying to pick them apart I’d say they’re the same, but I think they have different tones. The Essence compliments your complexion just a tinge more, which is why I think it’s the winner in this instance. However, I do think the Dior cheek looks cooler, and more seamless and airbrushed - at least on my phone. ☺️ Yet another brilliant review, thank you! 👏👏

Also the Dior honestly has like a lavender undertone and probably would be better for super super fair skin tones with very cool undertones. It’s a look for sure. I’d love to see a purple blush on your skin tone! (Have you tried salt New York? That shit is the bomb).

I tried the Mac rosy does it blush on camera recently! It's a bright purple. Also, I do think the essence blush actually looks more cool-toned on the face so it's a little deceiving. I think everyone thinks Dior is more cool toned because it's lighter.

I wish the Essence mosaic blushes were still available in Australia 😓 they sort of just disappeared out of no where, and they were my fave drugstore blush formula. Both look gorgeous on you, but especially the Essence one! The Dior one is my fave blush of all time and would probably suit me more than the Essence, but only because my skin is fair neutral and my hair is dark brown, so I feel like the tone would fit a lot better than a more berry shade 🤔

Okay, I think your favorite will be essence in color but not finish or feel (essence had a lot more kickback). I think the slightly darker hue of essence looks great on you. Personally I would pick the Dior because I'm white as paper and the lighter cool toned pink would look less intense on me...back to the video hope I guessed right!! 😅 🤞

No it’s extremely difficult to see the difference on camera. In person there’s a slight difference in that Essence looks a tad darker and more cool toned but really - they’re nearly identical and that’s the point.

I think the essence blush on you almost give you a bit of sculpting! It gives you a supermodel look :) Ps. I think the essence blush has been around for quite a long time. Especially, considering that essence discontinues products within 6 months if they don’t do well enough. That means these blushes are doing very well. According to musings of a muse, these essence blushes launched in fall 2016. Just to throw that in here 😊

Have you tried Clinque cheek pop formula? The shade Pansy Pop is also a dupe! On my skin, it looks identical to the essence blush (I don't own the Dior blush). Cheek pop is my favorite powder blush hands down! It has baked-gelee texture and buildable formula, finish is very skin-like, slightly luminous but no glitter.
