Re Sauvage I already have 1 100ml mostly full and 1 200 ml completely full and I am considering buying another 1-2 200 ml. I think the lesson of La Nuit is to stock up on a great fragrance with good performance and projection before it is ruined by reformulation

I actually avoided Aqua Di Gio for a long time because I didn't like Bleu or Sauvage at all. But after finally smelling it I need a bottle of Profumo. The incense note is just too wonderful

I love all three of them, however in my experience of wearing it, Sauvage EDT gets annoying to my nose after a while. I enjoy the scent, but only in small bursts. To be fair, I haven’t extensively tested the EDP or the Parfum version so that could be a different story. Bleu de Chanel EDT is about as close to a “daily driver” as I can get to with my collection and still a favorite. Acqua di Gio Profumo was just recently purchased, but I fully expect that one to reach the same status as BDC just because of how much I love it.

I bought all three of these when they first came out. They had very good performance. Repurchased them a few years later and performance was much lower. What these fragrance companies are doing is really so wrong. Cheating people. I would never spend another penny on them. Out of consideration for the customer, they could at least put a notice on the pretty boxes that a reformulation or some kind of change has occurred, but they cannot even do that.

Acqua di gio profumo is indeed more for the mature/serious type. I would say as long as the person is kind of a layed back and mature it would fit a person even down to 25 years. I also think it fits to jeans and t-shirt aswell as suit. Really versatile perfume in my opinion. As a woman I love it. Feel relaxed and "secure" from it. I think it's a kind of mysterious, and really sexy touch to it aswell, which just makes me want to get close to the guy, like super close to the skin, and smell it more.

I own all 3 except BDC is the EDP. I like to smell BDC on myself the most since I enjoy the bright Grapefruit opening. Sauvage has grown on me as far as my personal liking but I don't care what any critic says, there literally must be some secret ingredient in Sauvage that is chick crack. I get more unsolicited compliments with Sauvage than anything else! Check out the female reviewer takes... Waha, Vava, Tiff Benson, and Jeremy's latest battle video with that chick that sets off fire alarms.... I don't know what it has that does it but women just love Sauvage. For an older guy I much prefer Sauvage over Invictus if I am specifically going to choose a fragrance women like

Joy you are a fragrance guru. Your segments have quality like the scents you featured. I have Sauvage. On my opinion, Dior hit the spot on choosing Johnny Depp for being the embodiment for this fragrance which is iconic. His appeal on people especially towards women can't be denied from then till now. Somehow it does get positive compliments from women more then men when i wear it. ADG is well made and is a majority pick. I have yet to get my hands on BDC. Again....Thank You Joy for doing these segments for us. Bravo!

I have all 3. Here's what I wear when: BdC edt - any formal occasion or whenever I just want an inoffensive, yet pleasing own scent. AdG Profumo - special occasions with more sophisticated dress codes. i love this. it has a perfect smell but the performance is actually weak (both sillage and longevity). inoffensive but special. mature, strong, manly, confident, calm. Sauvage - clubbing, outdoor activities. strongest performer out of all 3. can be overwhelming indoors in the heat. love the composition but there are situations i wished i'd wear something else. for example, i hate to smell this while taking a meal. can't wear this to a date - it's just stupid...

ADG Profumo. Far best of the 3. Then BdC which I gave up on because it does not last and for the price... I'd rather get Profumo and Sauvage. Sauvage is okay but I dislike that metallic dry down. Opening is great but I simply can't stand the metallic note, no matter if girls love it. I actually found one that is like 98% Sauvage clone, and that is Zara Aromatic Future. It is lighter, but the smell is the same, minus the metal note but more fresh veeery slightly powdery in the drydown that lasts good amount of time. So I prefer it over the Sauvage. Dior really needs to come with an EDP of Sauvage without the metallic note. That would be awesome!!!

I got Sauvage in the end. I didn't know how ppl saw any resemblance to Aventus in this. I wore it in summer and autumn. But now, I tried it in winter. The whole opening and heart has this pineapple fruity vibe which I did NOT get in high heat. only in cold weather. Is is to strange, that I love this in cold months and dislike it in summer.

I believe Acqua Di Gio Profumo is "Parfum" concentration (higher than EDP). Bottle doesn't say EDP at all, unlike Essenza which does say that.

Great again. I've got to say that I still find the original adg the best. I tried adg essenza but sold it and the profumo smells a bit off for me also. I actually bought the Paris Hilton version of adg recently, but haven't had a chance to wear it, but it only cost £12 so nothing to loose.

i love the smell and freshness of adg but it disappears so fast unlike the perry ellis red, i sprayed like 15 sprays...couldnt make adg last...newer formulations are very watered down..i wish i could own the original formulation, at least one bottle, the prices you are getting is really unbelievable...ill ask my sister to pick up a bottle lol.thank you for the comment :)

I also like Armani Code Profumo but that's more for colder weather and it last very long i heard. It still had a spicy too it but a sweeter smell then Acqua profumo but you can wear Acqua Profumo in the Summer and Code Profumo in the winter. I'm in upper midwest in the US, so? We get all 4 seasons. So you must prepare yourself for the weather changes.

I only use AdG Profumo for nights out,, during summer or early autumn. I don't know why but it just feels 'right' on those occasions. BdC EDT is my easy-reach office scent for spring and summer. I've tried Sauvage and I quite like it but not enough to buy it. Another great video discussion Joy.

While I do have certain fragbrances each season once in a while I’ll wear a ‘summer’ scent in the winter if I want like aqua Di Gio and still get compliments! I'll add I recently purchased Armaf's Tag Him which is a poor man's BDC. At least to me, BDC is way too expensive for everyday casual use so the Armaf is a good substitute IMO. I'd say it is 75% BDC, not a great clone but decent.

Profumo is very very nice. Totally different from the original. It is a spicy patchouli scent for the evening. Very sophisticated and sexy. Not as fresh and young and citrus as the original aqua di gio. But it is so so good. Perfect for an evening with the lady. Not for little boys.

Got all 3, love the magnetic caps. Bleu is the best and most well crafted fragrance, a must have modern classic. Sauvage is growing on me. Linear scent and a bit harsh but can't dent that it smells nice, powerful and just screams 'smell me I'm a god'. Sauvage will be a modern classic. Profumo though......smells like a bitter old man. The smell coming from the vaporizer smells like medicine. Go to a pharmacist and thats what ADG profumo smells like. The dry down gets better and has less of a medicine smell but such a disappointment. smells like a senior citizen at a drug store. Thought it was a blind buy because it was di gio and got a 200ml, fml. don't care what you fragrance snobs think, invictus is better and gets better reactions.

i have aqua di gio perfumo and blue de chanel and i prefer a aquq di gio perfumo for summer and fall and also for porformance and losting

Bleu honestly fails to perform in India! However, I like the notes of it more than Sauvage which is way too strong for my nose. Acqua do gio is really the easiest choice of all!
