the spirit of diorissimo has left the bottles long ago. no matter wich concenration. the 2009 reformulation was the end of the era. the best dupe of the old formula is muguet fleuri from oriza legrand. it really comes very close to the old one

I've always liked that array of "old" Dior fragrances, with Miss Dior, Diorissimo, and Diorama as my faves many years ago. Lily of the valley is a scent I like very much - at a "drugstore level" I use Yardley Lily of the Valley talcum powder! It was very interesting to learn the history you described so well. [I just ordered two fragrances I have had before: Clinique Aromatics Elixir and Burberry For Women (not a very enchanting name!). I got great bargains on them. I'm still thinking of Caleche and also Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien, I like them both but in my research I saw Eau d'Hadrien has a new bottle design, which is disappointing, but even worse, the label looks so cheap and basic!!] Thanks for another super video Annie 💖

thank you, Susan! 🤗🥰love love love old Dior fragrances! 😍yes, I remember Yardley Lily of the Valley Talc, it was my fav along with Rose! Annick Goutal was rebranded to just Goutal and I've not seen the new bottles in person but they do look basic.😒 I loved the original packaging with the golden pouch and tag, I guess they want to make it look modern.🙄Just hope they've not reformulated the fragrances! Love both the perfumes you ordered, I've been thinking of getting Burberry too, it was my signature scent for a while until I finished the bottle! 💖

I adore Christian Dior designs and scents. I am happy to say that I visited the main Christian Dior Boutique several years ago on my first visit to Paris. Oh, la la! At the time I purchased a small but elegant charm bracelet which I still love. For my birthday last year my best friend gave me a bottle of Diorissimo. Voila! Tres Belle! I enjoyed your review very much.

Wow.. I haven't heard of this perfume.. The bottle reminds me of the DIOR forever and ever that I have smelled before.. It's a beautiful scent as well. Thanks for sharing

I LOVED Diorissimo pre-reformulation. I bought my first bottles in Europe in 2007...so heavenly, it was my “signature” scent for the warmer half of the year for a few years. (I wish I had known they were going to mess with it, I would have stocked up.) I still like the newer EDP (which I’ve only bought in the US, don’t know if that matters), but not quite as much. On me, the main difference is that it used to have more depth and strength...it lasted a LOT longer on my skin and I didn’t need to apply as much. My nose is not very educated, but I don’t remember it smelling animalistic...it was very LOV dominant (with some detectable jasmine), but maybe the civet was what made it deeper. Literally, to me the best description is the new formulation is like a sniff of one LOV sprig that has just blossomed whereas the older one smelled like you buried your nose in a large bouquet of LOV-some freshly opened, some starting to fade. All LOV, but more components.

I do believe that if the same perfume is sold in US and EU, then it is the same as they're all made in France. However, the reformulations, sadly, are usually less complex and strong. Your description is spot on and the distinction seems accurate. Although i've not smelled the original, it sounds beautiful with civet and fresh and wilted flowers bouquet! I'd love to get a vintage version but it's hard to find a trustworthy seller.

@@AnnieS22 I hear you about it being difficult to find reputable shops-between counterfeits and questionable storage, etc., you just don’t know what you’re really getting or its condition, regardless of its vintage. A few years ago, I asked my husband for a new bottle, and suggested that he should order it directly from the Dior website. Well, he bought a slightly cheaper ($20?) one on Amazon...I don’t think it was authentic (or they mistreated it). When I got the opportunity to replace it with a bottle from an actual brick & mortar Dior shop, the difference was obvious. Not as lovely as the pre-2009 stuff, but a lot better than the Amazon bottle. Good luck finding a good old bottle...I only have my memories.

Thanks. Someone offered me to buy a 50ml limited edition bottle in quite high price. I like simple florals, dont like too sweet perfumes. Im thinking if I should it take it, what do you think? I like roses, jasmine etc

@@nasrinkhaleque9397 This is pretty much a lily of the valley fragrance. if you really like that flower smell, then consider getting it. Also check the retail price, it's available for USD100/50ml. I am not aware of any limited edition bottle, sometimes vintage one is sold but please buy only from a reputed seller. Also check the return/refund policy.

the new diorissimo is very lame and short lasting. it smells shortly of lily of the valley and then turnes into a detergent like boring flowery teeny scent
